    Which wheels look better

Errr one of you lot are gonna buy them off me! £700 cash, they need a bit of refurbishment, a bit of the Hyper Black finish has flaked at the edge where I had the outer rims diamond cut. Then I can get my Chrono 17s. If I wasnt a quarter miler I wouldnt sell them. But they are just a bit too...

    Which wheels look better

The thing is that the new silver Super Ls look better than the dark ones I think. Not that the originals didnt look good, but the lighter shade looks better.

    Huge backfire

Well its hard to understand what all the fuss is about 12/13/14 second times if youre not into 1/4 miling really...but suffice to say that only once youre under 15 seconds are you even serious, 14 second is a very good time for your average hot hatch, 13s and youre talking seriously modified...

    Which wheels look better

John I got em from Chris at Carnoisseur Southend. I was out the back last week and hes got a couple of sets lying around. Theyre Sparco ones, you cut them to shape and fix them in whatever way you want to.

    Which wheels look better

I just checked out the wheel wizard, and it confirmed what I always thought - even *3-spoke* rims can look hot under a 90mm drop. To be honest, with a 60mm drop (which is roughly where mine is on that picture) I reckon the Chronos are streets ahead. Someone convince me otherwise?

    Which wheels look better

GOod work fellas! the problem with these wheel wizards is that the motors are always the base model and theyre never slammed enough to get a good idea. ANy wheels gonna look shoddy on an unlowered base Clio. The reason why Im looking at Crono wheel is because my #1 consideration is weight, and...

    Which wheels look better

opinions please - which 17" wheels would look better on a lowered Clio 16v - OZ Superleggera or OZ Chrono Evo (the old school 5 spoke motorsport style). BTW Can anyone mock up a picture on Photoshop or something? Heres the pics anyway. http://www.performancealloys.com/uploadedimages/115_0.jpg...

    Huge backfire

Ben - theres no rocket science involved with the 12 second GTTs. Standard GTTs dont weigh that much less than a standard Clio. Its just down to stripping it out! And come on...drag racing suspension setup? In other words soft wide tyres at the front, rock hard dampers and raised at the back...

    Goodyear Eagle F1’s - CHEAP!

Good call HKC, I wouldnt be surprised if a few container loads find their way over to the UK.

    BB Tuning: FAN and THERMOSTAT!!!

I know its obvious Barry, but wouldnt the oil temp gauge be the thing to read oil temp from? Sorry Im being stupid here, Mat already answered it! No point having over cooled oil though which is probably what youre getting at. I run an oil cooler with a stat so it keeps it rocksteady at around...

    Oz SuperL 16s or 17s

Good call Simon. But there is nothing better looking than a totally slammed motor. Even a Montego looks good with the sills scraping the ground and only 3/4 of the wheels showing under the arches!

The WORST Clio in the World!!.....EVER!

LOL that is a corker! Correct me if Im wrong but the bird in the picture is Helen from the Donny South show...Ive noticed shes a Revs babe now. Anyway, Im gonna have to think about not buying Revs any more. Its a real shame cos it used to be the only mag that was about modded motors but not...

    Really Noisy Powered Steering

Cooper boy -I can safely say that if you dragged against a 240bhp GTT you would nail it and it would look like youd missed 1st and put it in reverse! They are quick.

Strut Braces - Can anyone help

I found my strut brace good, but the old Clios are pretty bendy. In fact mines got a crease in the roof now because the front end is so stiff and theres nowhere else for it to bend. But it does seem to tidy up the handling and if nothing else gives you a place to lean on when youre working on a...

16v Tubo - Really gonna work

Well I think thats all settled then lads?Phil I understand what youre saying now and its fair comment..a V6 is built to drive with that sort of power, a 16v needs mods to be a safe car with that kind of oomph.. Good. Glad these things dont drag on forever like they used to in the last couple of...

    Xtra 50bhp for £20

Has your cousin got any other Maxi stuff? I would love a spec sheet and schematic of the whole car. Its impossible to track down. Ive got an exploded diagram but its a blurry jpeg and not much good. Plus if he knows where to get a genuine Maxi bonnet that would be handy.
