Oh, They told me they couldnt do it on the rolling road because they only had software for Subaru and Ford Cosworth engines - Strange!!!!!!
Bigdave, cheers mate, Still may go for that then, has it improved your torque dramatically and does the car still idle fine?
Well Basically the PE remap is a Superchip mate, I think that I will be soughting something out with Andy at GDI for a rolling road tune rather than an off the shelf chip for clios on the whole.
Neil, I know they are the same just getting different views on them, out of interest what is yours...
If you want to take the rear window out, you have to remove the seal, then the window just pops out, there are no screws matey, well not on the 1.4rt anyway, presume it is exactly the same, have fun though as the window if curved and the creases never go unless you heat up the film
Right, I have telephoned R-sport and the guy there (jonathon) told me that it is not worth it on the mk1 172 because you lose power WTF.
Hill Power said he is having probs with the supplier and that there may be a price increase WTF
Power Engineering eeek is a Superchip and costs more than...
mmm sound good value, Make sure the air vents are not sieced (crap spelling) Otherwise you get a cold draft on your right leg when you go over 50mph lol, mine does it, but renault have the new part and are fixing it when I can be bothered to drop it off at the garage.
Mine has a Taipan 2 IK...
mmmm, Well probably matey, I was going to get the viper but then had the opportunity to get the Quickshift kit, They are the same in terms of performance improvement but the quickshift sounds better. Would get the IK first then the zorst and then the chip, definately leave chip till youve got...
Nope, Not that ive heard. Mine is running 27k at the mo. Bout it 3 months ago at 24k after owning a clio Cup for 6 months, But unfortunatelt that is no more, 172 mk1 is alot of fun though, and have modded it up with no worry of warranty probs hehe
Well I got the IK when it was a Prototype and so only cost me £150, Zorst was £400 including fitting and chip will be about £250-£300
Wheels though, ouch
Probably about 10hp, But the torque increase is where it really counts, I have a cat back zorst from Scorpion and a Quickshjift Taipan 2 IK and I felt a difference with both, But found it is running too lean, So am trying to find a good chip now,
Torque mate, all about the torque
Guys, It will always run a little bit more lean, because your shoving more air in and not increase the fuel to match it, But it wont damage the car.
Also it changes depending on the car, at the rr day on Saturday, Mine was running lean and Sis wasnt and we have the same induction kits (I have...
Well inside the cda is a cotton gause, kinda like the K&Ns filters, Most filters come with cleaners anyway, I mean you can get cleaning kits for them, wouldnt worry bout that though, Only reason I am not keen on Foam is that you dont really get any change in sound, still sound normal, whereas...
Guys was supposed to order the group n chip this morning from HIll Power, But Nick (think it was him) said they have had problems with the last batch of ECUs and that there may be a price increase, What the **** is that all about,
Where else can I get the rsport ecu from, phone numbers would...
