Just to let you know I am going for the Hill Power Group n ECU, from posts I have searched for on hear, the general consensus is that this is the best for the 172s, Ta for help guys
I have posted the same topic on the RSClub and a few people have said not to touch hill power chip, because have heard alot of problems about it especially for the mk1 172, aaarrrgggghhhhh HELP
well that is the problem, cant find anywhere near me that will do it on the rollers.
Nick at hill power said that the group ns they do will be suited to the specific vehicle and will take into account my mods (asked for engine number)
Guys really cant decide, after talking to helen etc Today, which ecu should I get after finding out my car is running too lean.
1. Hill Power Group N
2. Power Engineering REMAP
Andy at GDI is tooo expensive boohooo

Mate it is not a piggy back system and not sure whether it is done on arolling road, I know they do have one.

mmmm I had full suspension kit and EBC brakes too mate, You should be fine, would sell the mods first though like interior to geordie paul and other bits seperately then sell the car standard if your not in a rush this will be the best way to make the money difference decrease
Sold mine with full bodykit and straight through exhaust for £5500 y-reg with 26k on the clock
Have you thought about contacting Torsion Tuning to get a quote on a Turbo Conversion seeing as youve spend all that money on it already matey!
Oh, now what do I do! R you sure your not the only one without idle probs mate.
So you had a superchip before, Why did you change and was it a superchip REMAP or a new chip?
One of the main reason I like the PE remap is That it does give you bad idling and they have experience with the 172 remap, the minimum gain they have eperienced is 12bhp on a standard 172
Mate if you go to Powerengineering then they will remap the ECU for you for about £280 so renault will never know, warranty wise.
Also they reckon they can get 12-15bhp extra on a standard 172 engine
They are based in north london though, but only 2 mins from the northern end of M25 and a...
