Re: Bomber's Awesome Ph1 Track Slut
Well, things havent gone great the last few days. On starting the cambelt change we locked everything up and removed the parts needed. Then removed the bottom pulley to swap the Clio version for the Megane keyed version. It wouldn't fit.
After...
Just been through all the cars paperwork, theres nothing in the service book or receipts etc and the engine code on the block matches that of the reg document in 2004 and 2010. I have the name and address of original owner for first 5 years, might hope they've not moved and try contact them, to...
Yep, depending how far back you need the seat you may need to use some steel lengths like I have so you can bolt it all to both box sections. Mines been good for 2 years or so
Araldite best option so far, might use some 3M Velcro too?
Then I've got to worry about making sure I get it timed up correctly, what have we got ourselves into Adey? Lol
Appreciate that, but before and after both on same rr for some reference. Being mapped by Matt eventually so cab get a true figure afterwards, if it ever gets done. This isnt helping my 4th feb deadline lol
174 pretty much standard, then 192 with matches inlets, remap and v6 airbox etc. Both at Powerstation on rr days with everything making 'normal' power. Was still making power at 7800 when it hit the limiter weirdly
Worried about charging it now...
Oh FFS, do Renault sell the ph2 pulley and bolt on it's own? Who the hell built this bloody car, it's only had 2 owners before me will all receipts, unless the random engine rebuild reciept went missing. Never had comp test, but makes good power at least
Cambelt pulley is different to the one in the gates kit as well...
Left came off the car, right is the one that came with the kit. Wrong kit or wrong car? It's the pulley with the groves in it, the rest all match
Supercharging it, I knew something was going to go wrong. Like you say Adey, we'll try the key part number and see where it takes us. Fred, do you have a part number for the bolt off hand? No worries if not, haven't measured imthe old one yet

Re: Bomber's Awesome Ph1 Track Slut
Was half way through removing all the aux setup but, somehow, I've managed 8 years without my own swan neck spanners and couldn't be arsed to pop to my parents so put it to rest for the morning. Only a couple of bolts to remove. Am back at work tomorrow so...
