    The PH1 172 Appreciation Thread.

Yeah things like that are very much down to personal taste. I'm not a big fan of putting aero bits on Clios, as the benefits are usually pretty negligible (if there are any!) and I just like the simple looks when the body is pretty much standard. You've done a great job with it though, it looks...

    The PH1 172 Appreciation Thread.

I must say, I'm not totally sold on the splitter or the cut down rear bumper but, overall, it looks absolutely epic. Such a top notch billed - you must be thrilled with it!

Some mega stuff in there. Apart from the stickers on that red NSX. He's a YouTube sensation these days. They probably paid him to eat it :ROFLMAO:

Clio Cup Racer No28 Rally Car

Sounds like things were pretty dramatic before you even started. I'm fairly sure a Clio shouldn't be able to keep up with an R5 car 😂 Great drive mate.

    My New Monaro

Sold it yet?* *You walked right into that one. To be honest, you walk into all of them by changing your car every 10 minutes.

    Martin's 197 Lux Project

Cup/non-Cup chassis doesn't really make much difference on the 197. It's only springs, dampers and anti-roll bar. Once you have lowered it, obviously it's just the ARB. I often wonder, if you a put a journo in a 197 but told them it was a 200 Cup, would they really be able to tell the...

Some last minute gearbox issues weren't there?

Clio Cup Racer No28 Rally Car

Well done today Nath, great result, and for Josh too. Definitely taking it to the RWD boys - never seen so many Clios in the top 10 of the 2.0-litre class!

    My New Monaro

You probably could if you didn't spend so much on swapping insurance about, tax, and petrol/train tickets.

Three months? That's a brave bet.

This month is ages ago. I give this a fortnight.

    Martin's 197 Lux Project

Looks alright. I've got some exterior handles if you want a spare set to paint.

Just watched the Car SOS episode with the Evo IV. I know they don't get much love on here, but I would happily drive this:

Surprised it's taken so long for someone to come up with an air box like that!

    Also 64-bit though?

    Best video editing software (free)

Bump for this - anyone got any suggestions? Looked into Resolve and PowerDirector, but both seem to be 64-bit only, which isn't much good for me.

So much want for a MK1

He should have put it in New Zealand livery. Think Tommi won NZ in '99 and would have worked better with the gravel spec.

    throttle bodies

I would have thought Ktec are the simplest solution aren't they? Doesn't their ECU plug in to the car pretty much? Ultimately, it's probably not the best value mod but, if you get some fun out of it, that's all that matters really.

Weird livery to choose for a gravel car that's for sure. Nice car though. Just needs for cards lol

A Fiesta ST. On my driveway  Borrowed it off a mate for a week or two as I'm currently without car. Looking forward to seeing what it's like. Initial impressions are that the seating position isn't as good as my 197, but the ride is better. Oh, and it has torque lol.

    My RB 197

Thanks bud. You just using the 200 as a road car? The R3 wheels do really suit them, best thing I did to it!

    My Inferno Story...

I remember when I ordered my last one, they asked if it was going on a Clio. They must sell 99% of them to Clio owners I would have thought?!

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

Well no, but we talking about average cars that average folk drive.

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

But is it? In the past, that Superb would probably have had a normally aspirated 2.0-litre with about 130-140bhp. With TDI torque, the diesel will probably feel quicker to most people. Not to mention that most people don't give a monkey's uncle anyway.

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

I did read somewhere that it was sub-5000 cars globally in 2019. Not big numbers given the development costs. A friend of mine has one. I think they look lovely personally. Simple, and a nice blend of retro and modern. Sadly, he has also had paint and corrosion issues already, so that would put...

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

Has the A110 been very successful? I got the impression that it hadn't sold that well. Is that the case though? Cars are faster than they've ever been. VW shipped thousands of Golf Rs, Ford did the same with the Fiesta ST. Access to high performance has never been greater. You can see why the...
