Mine always rattles and its only too true that the more hardcore your suspension is the worse it gets, really, really bad. At the moment Im on 215/35/18 rubber, Koni adjustables dialled up to max ride stiffness, a strut brace and full set of poly bushes! Its a rough ride thats for sure.
no Phil, I still dont agree with you mate! In the BMW line-up the 330 is the equivalent of the 1.8 RSi!
In the original Clio range the one Clio that was completely different from the others was the 16v. And Im certain that it even said that it was the sports model in the Renault brochure. Im...
Any member can try and get any discount they want. At the end of the day the more discounts we can get the more it helps everyone out! Get the ball rolling, lmk how you get on, if you want me to have words with them as Cliosport admin I will.
Dunno, theyre definitely the Euro style, youd need to get them from the continent I would have thought. Cant seem to be able to get 10" wide 15s over here!

Thats odd I didnt think you could use infra red to get a reading on a cars speed. You need radar or laser...
The Truvelo cameras with the wire buried in the road use an infra red flash cos otherwise theyd blind you when they went off. But I cant see how you can use the infra red wavelength to...
Well if you get one in the same colour from a breakers it will still be a slightly different shade anyway.
Dont know how much a new bumper is from Renault nowadays, but one way or the other youre gonna have to spray it.
So ditch the standard bumper and get a Joker or something.

Thats cos you gotta keep the revs at around 3000 and spray it very close to the bottom throttle plate.
Otherwise it all just runs down and drips on the gearbox.
You need the starter motor. AFAIK (and I just replaced mine) the 16v and Williams sumps are the same. There is a variation in 16v sumps which changed capacity during the 16vs lifetime. Some dipsticks are blue marked others are plain.
Good point Eddd, but a days 1/4 miling costs £20. A track day is a lot more.
Also the only true figure that will shut people up in a my cars faster than yours is a 1/4 mile timing slip. Rolling roads bhp figures, lap times etc mean nothing compared to a slip!
Well I think the important thing is that the brake system is just that, a system. Neglect any part of it and your brakes will let you down when you need them most.
So get decent fast road pads like DS2000 (which BTW dont need bedding in and work from cold), braided hoses to keep the pedal...
Bloody hell that was a close thing. From the brakes failing then flames leaping out the bonnet, the obvious answer is leaking brake system; leaking brake fluid and hot exhaust manifold dont mix. As I keep telling the cheapskates who wont replace their knackered manifold heatshield.

Steve, if you can find Renault data anywhere that says their factory 1/4 mile time for a 16v Ill be well pleased mate. Ive been trying to wrangle this kind of thing out of them for years mate!
MC some nice ideas on 0-60/1/4 mile there. Ill give that some thought...mine always seems to come out crap on bhp (on the rollers) but torque is always good.
Well Ive run DS2000 on the track for half hour sessions at a time but with DOT5.1 fluid and braided lines. No fade whatsoever and anyone whos done track work will know that thats about as hardcore as you can get on braking systems.
It is quite obviously a problem with the fluid if hes not...
Paul dont blame me, Kathy organised it and good on her for it. There is nothing that says it has to be modified at all. Who says Renault want to see modded cars? Maybe they just want something tidy? We dont even know ourselves what theyre looking for so go for it anyway!
BTW Kathy will pay...
