i pay for mine seperatly at the moment, £68 a track day. i think if you do 3 or 5 it makes it viable to have annual cover. i use 'competition track insurance'
thats what i suspected. i know my track insurance will go up if using slicks and my road insurance if i have a cage lol, so never going to win. i wouldnt of bothered if they needed delivery, was happy to drive 50miles though.
u can buy the tyres cheap off me if you want :)
hah, i knew there would be a few people on here bidding for them. yea picked them up today. wheels all need some work but i had a colour change in mind anyway.
i cant use the tyres on track without a cage and can warrent that at the moment as well
and steve, its always dry. what are you on...
i have these sitting in my garage now. theyre michelin slicks. i dont have a clue what anything means on them as not the same as road tyres.
were used by a clio cup race team last at rockingham, still have rock printed on them
they say 19/57 - 15 on all of them.
three of the tyres have...
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
the leon splitter makes a change compared to the cup version and much cheaper. i cant remember how much it was but i had change out of £4000 including insurance so wasnt too bad.
and oh my effing whoops, i seem to have purchased a set of wheels and slick...
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
was about £56 and comes with the normal filter which im figuring i might be able to sell on ebay too.
i had a bit of discount at renault though, just got to blag it. im not in the trade lol
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
ive got the back seats and isofix bar out but not stripped it in terms of every possible ounce removed. at the moment its staying on the verge of being easily put back to normalish so dont want to go too far.
will order the 100mm air feed this weekend me thinks
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
worked a bit of overtime last week and got myself this s**t, sounds fecking awsome, even compared to the Viper ive taken off. have used the Espace V6 airbox with Samco 70mm, 90 degree bend and a new ITG filter (PH1 172 filter is what you need)
airbox from...
if the alloys are the wrong offset you can use spacers to bring them back out.
i have been trying to work out if an extra 20mm on a 172 would make much difference for use on track as well, plus the ph1 wheels look too narrow as std on them.
ive got some in the post too. not really a daft price when my current mirrors are scratched to buggery because the previous owner couldnt park in the garage properly and respraying them professionally would cost about £40 anyway.
£49 isnt the end of the world, and its something different for...
mace, i think even power station have 1 movable air feed because they use it on the scooby, coming down over the engine on top of the intercooler.
does the v6 have intake on both sides or just one?
i was looking at that too mate, is quite frankley f**king insane though lol. are you going to get it checked over at some point? may end up being something really simple an stupid thats wrong with it?
i'll happily prove you wrong. i have ktec group n remap, induction kit and ktec stealth. rollers on saturday gave me 174.5bhp and 151.8lbf.ft.
standard 172's were doing about 169-170. thats not 12 bhp
and in terms of induction, if you can afford the ITG then go for it, BMC similar but...
yup as jay said a little bit ago, dont have std airbox at the moment anyway. it seems ive just come to a cross roads lol, am going to go back to basics a little, do some saving and at begining of next year see whats happening with the car finances. mmmmmmmm throttle bodies and AST's FTW:S...
I have been sulking since the rr which is why i havnet posted about it lol. ive just looked at my read out and although ive got w**k power (compared to frankly what it should be) would a 3'c air intake temperature decrease the bhp by much?
Quade, can i ask what make/ who did the ported TB...
that last corner was a b**ch, im glad it wasnt just me who couldnt get it right. just wish my back hadnt given up the ghost, my tyres and fuel had plenty of life left in them :(
