Gave the volvo a wash today and went to Craig’s to diagnose my smoke issues. After much emotional turmoil it appears that the pump timing was out so after a very slight advance on the timing things seem a lot better. Also turned the fuel pump up a tad.

I had the e34 525i and found it really sluggish.

I’ve only got two and one of those is fast! Slow daily, fast garage queen.

That doesn’t sound like a crank sensor issue to me. It doesn’t sound very well. Hope you get it sorted.

I have some scrubbing issues at the rear.

Got the tyres on. Just applying some wheel sealant and then I’ll test fit on the 740.

The 740? That just stays in the garage and I go smell it every now and again.

Wagons have been done to death but I agree they look better. I suppose I can always take the £1000s of parts that’ll go off this one and stick it on a wagon at a later date!

I can’t run bigger than 16s on a 740. It’s just not cricket.

They’re 16s. I think they might need a bigger tyre but I’ll see how they look when it’s all together.

25mm spacers arrived. I could have probably gone 30mm but I don’t want to have to ‘modify’ the arches. I’m not 100% on the wheels but once my front spacers arrive (from Latvia) I’ll be able to have a look and decide what I want to do.
