Strong money but will absolutely transform it. They are crying out for wider arches. Add those, cup spoiler and decent wheels with a slight drop and it would be a brilliant looking car.
Sorry to see this. Hopefully you can make it a bit harder for them in future. I would recommend paneling inside of the door, and then fill the cavity with dirty needles. Or really poisonous spiders or something.
MK4 doesn't suffer the same issues as the MK3 I don't think.
I'd take that over the Volvo in a heartbeat to be honest. As it's a daily, I'd take modern refinement all day long.
