I need to do a bit of shopping too, can't wait to see the finished article. The both of you and everyone else involved have put so much effort into this car. See ya both bright and early

this year, rather than arse around in the car park at coombe, shall we try at work out some logical way of setting up the cars? either mk1's, mk2's mk3's etc, or by colour. either way, we spent an hour last year just trying to park lol
just gone through about 3000 old photos quickly. i can find 3 which are ok-ish.... the 2 sunsets were both on a panasonic digital camera, the NYC on cheap SLR. nothing to the standard of the above, but i like them
my lady wife took the middle one, its not a huge canvas in her bedroom :)
Then popping to quedgeley.... ;)
looks good mate, that turbo should sound mint. No reason to follow the sheep with the water injection, nz etc all do it this way don't they
Nice one dan, hadn't realised you'd put these on. You still popping over to get the ring taken out the rear shocks?
The blue cup in greenfarm never waves or anything, if it's the older guy. Seen a few new clio's round quedgeley lately
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
hah, emma wasnt having any of it, moaning like a trooper when we went out the other day in mine lol.
got the cage out the car last night, late nights and s**t dinner FTL!! finished welding the door bars in etc. got to sand my s**t welds down over the weekend...
the problem i can see with that one, despite the welding issues etc is that it would need to be painted in the car, which is a ***** to get it neat.
ive gone for the £450-odd one, fitted in the car and taken out to paint, plus added a harness bar myself and a 2nd X section
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
daniel, you are the first person to comment (other than jay) on the seats. eventually, they'll both get sprayed the same colour.
tbh, i need to swap the passenger seat for a 30mm wider version, too many fat friends
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
my only worry is the orange may clash with my hair ;)
green is where its at IMO too, its a metalic too, cage and interior painted for £peanuts tbh!!
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
havent really done much over the last few weeks, other than i've started driving it again rather than having it collect dust in the garage.
welded in some harness bars on sunday, they're far enough up to be within the -5 and 30 degree's or whatever it is, but...
hah, we'll see. im so skint at the moment. im going to be rocking up at coombe next weekend with a rusty cage and burnt interior, its that new trat look, half rat, half track ;)
its a b*****d to get out, most people jam something in it once the torx bit is broken on the bolt, think i sawed mine out the got mole grips on it in the end
