It's all made from Renault components, although some we had modified in house. The airbox is a standard Clio Cup/Megane Trophy airbox which we have modified to run as an exposed flat panel filter airbox due to issues with feeding an enclosed box effectively - on the standard X85 Cups the...
There isn't really a boot - that area holds an additional 60L ATL Fuel Cell.
The battery is as per as standard X85 i.e. in rear of the passenger footwell.

That has no bearing on engine induction though as it is not possible to create a simple, large and straight enough route from the fog to the area of the bay used to package the filter/induction into for it to be of any advantage. Also the Fogs are used for brake cooling ducts and as such one...
Most of the inner arch on that side of the car has been removed which provides ample airflow for the filter. Inlet temps when the car is at speed are circa ambient.
The 2009 spec has as sealed carbon fibre airbox which is fed from the nose of the car in order to improve efficency and minimise...
Check the HT lead boots are sealing properly. If they let water in then any water splashed about the engine bay will find its way into the plug holes and stay there. If you don't do many long journeys it could take a long time to evaporate off!

The induction point on our SE X85's is on the front bumper of the car - depending on the aero package its either just above the front splitter or between the grills on the flat of the bumper itself.
The rad is relocated 110mm over from its standard position to allow for this feed, oil cooler...
Don't think the Astons would have been testing as such. At this time of year its quite likely to have been a session for potential pay drivers to have a go in the car. Track days work quite well for this as you can essentialy leave them to it safe in the knowledge they can't go that quick and if...
I've done this several times now, its part of my standard prep for X85 Cup Endurance Race Car engine packages.
The standard match is poor between the two cast halfs of the manifold and there is a fair bit of room for improvement. You need to be aware its not just a case of opening it up to...
Clutchnet will also manufacture a clutch to any spec you want. They are OEM for the Clio Cup although we actually run one of their friction plates with someone elses friction material in 24 hour spec.

So it was fine 5 weeks ago and you've not checked it since?
FFS how much effort is it to whip the dipstick out before you drive it at some point over the weekend?
The light on the dash is an oil PRESSURE warning not an oil level light. If its on then you have no/minimal oil pressure. If...
Nothing wrong with the standard calipers. People get hung up on multi-pot calipers being better when for the most part its pad size and the clamping load the calipers can put on the discs.
Put it this way Cup racers ran single piston sliding road car calipers. The brakes on those were pretty...
The engines are build by Oreca from selected components i.e. they are standard but some engines are more standard than others ;-) They have a single cat and run a Magneti Marelli ECU and Dash/Logger.

Its a combination of an 80MS WOT upshift and sticky slicks coupled with a proper LSD allowing you to launch one with zero wheel spin.
The cups are nearer 200bhp in reality as well.

I'll let you know as soon as I've got mine into the workshop. I can test the stiffness pretty easily but then comparing it against an old mount is pretty useless.
The buffers on the mount I have here are under compression against the cage!

Yep apparently they are 'stiffer'. I'll let you know if they actualy are once I've got them on mine. However its not unusual for Diesel spec mounts to be stiffer than those spec'd for the Petrol version of the same car/van due to the differences in weight/torque the diesel engines produce...
