Some who know of me will know I've had this clio cup for around 10 months now, in that time Its seen many sets of wheels, suspension and exhaust systems :o
After going through a spell of wanting another trophy, I decided to invest my time and money in the cup instead, its only had 2 owners...
Mate I'm really confused and trying to understand your 'circumstance' change. You've stated you're getting a new focus rs so youve sold the freshly built boosted engine, surely you cant of got more than £5-6k for that engine? You're now paying k-tec to build you another engine, paying for Itb's...
I've always ordered my whiteline stuff from balance motosport, same prices as elsewhere and they can tell you there and then if they have the stock levels
Had 12k In my trophy once I'd put the new engine in and spent money on other bits and bobs, then it blew up again, managed to salvage 4k back off it in parts so I lost 8k and now own a clio cup :)
I remember speaking to you at trax, I was parked next to you in the silver cup whilst you were pacing around the stand clearly fuming at your mis-fortune :( bad luck and sorry to think you've not had the pleasure of using it since (3 months) I'm sure you told me and my mate you'd made all the...
LOL wouldnt say I was dreaming mate, more so reflecting the condition and mileage, @35k its quite low. Its a starting figure anyhow as I'm open to offers. Chances are I'll keep it and do the belts anyway courtesy of Fred
Kw V2's IMO, I've used Gaz and they aren't as bad as people make out, once you've played with the damping settings they're an acceptable road set up however there are better kits out there
It sounds to me as if you've spent a lot of money on your clio as it is, it would be a shame to sell it and lose even more. If it were me I would be putting £2-2.5k towards a Clio dci with low miles say 70-80k. Use it for a year for your commute, they're cheap to insure and £30 a year to tax. We...
I would say when you drive the 197 you'll have to abuse it to really see where the power is, as below 4.5k rpm they're pretty gutless.
Have you not considered an EP3 civic type r? IMHO a better engineering prospect, good fun and certainly enough interior room and luggage space should you need...
Best thing I ever bought for my clio, all 3 clios infact. Have a look on balance motorsport, it explains the reduction of load on particular wheels when cornering which in turn improves overall grip, reducing understeer and giving better turn in
Yes mate the whiteline ARB does make a massive difference, I also ran Eibach sportlines to give it a slightly lower ride height. Best thing to do is buy one, I've only known one person who didnt like the way their car drove after fitting of the ARB.
I used to own T700 PHY so not too far away from you, mine was 007 and unfortunately unlike james bond this thing did die, TWICE!....anyhow enough of those sour grapes, good to see you've finally got a more modern car that will blow your socks off once you learn how it likes to play.
IMHO buy...
Sure its not stevie haswell's trophy he was talking about? Last time it was RR'd it was 385bhp, next time its on the rollers who knows what power it will make ;)
If anyone is interested mine is in the for sale section atm, £275 collected, £290 posted, good condition apart from some scrapes on the centre box from those pesky speed bumps.
Get yourself some wolfs chemicals de-ironiser. works wonders on wheels with caked on brake dust, not quite sure how aggressive the pads are you're using but it works wonders either way
I've got a set of superleggeras for sale atm ;) very light wheels and imo look awesome. If nobody buys them mine are going gloss black.
There is a pic on here somewhere of one with them on but think they were possibly 15's?
Hi Guys, been weighing up going forced induction or N/A, I know a lot of the issues you can get with boost but do people with ITB's experience any problems at all? Also what sort of power are you getting with cams? Cheers
It already has an Rs tuner map on mate, Paul says he can get rid of the slight flat spot but tbh I'm going to hang fire as I need to decide whether I'm going to go forced induction or itb's
