I went to a car show a while back, and was hovering around a stand. One of them had turned up on a bike, and obviously the person running that particular club had decided that he needed a bit of glam on his bike. Whilst his back was turned, she put tyre shine on his tyres.
He wasn't too impressed.
Yeah, absolutely real.
This is about as close as I get, no water supply and very little time, so it gets pressure washed and then waterless wash'n'waxed. It's a bit peely but it'll do.
There’s another date later in the year? It’s a great event, one of the best on the local calendar IMO.
I probably won’t be driving Castle, but my uncle might do it so I’ll be there if so. Saving my money for the sprints!
That Gould is ridiculous. Believe it was a 59 second lap.
I’ll be doing Watergate bay, although so is literally everybody else, so I think the bigger race is to get the entry forms in. I’ve had a word with some of the organisers and the plans sound really good. They’ll be looking to make the...
TBF, a nasp 1.8 isn’t far off a clio until you get up to higher speeds.
A supercharged one is great fun, I know someone who had one and want to do it as well one day.
It’s showing as a Driving Force, which is what mine was doing when plugged into USB3.
Are you using the Wingman drivers? Mine is working fine on the latest OS.
Thought I'd have a crack at playing in the snow... it's epic fun and a completely different way of driving all your favourite circuits.
Just for the lolz I got a DS3 RX out to see what kind of laptime it could manage on studs.
For the price of a 40 inch 4k TV I felt it rude not to buy one. At the end of the day you can always drop the resolution if the PC hasn't got enough horsepower to run 4k smoothly, and who knows, further down the road you might upgrade the PC and be able to run it. Bigger is better, if you have...
Only really got one.. got wiped out by a taxi, bugger all I could do about it. Fortunately Clios seem to be a lot stronger in crashes than Corsa C's, Fiestas etc.
Worst crash I've seen on here that someone survived was this;
1. The best tyres you can afford.
2. Gtechniq G1/G5 on the windscreen
3. DS2500s
4. Refreshed suspension.
I think @DaveDreads isn’t much of a fan of the poly exhaust bushes, mine was held together with a socket and cableties though, which looked arse but worked.
PC is always going to be best for simulation if you're going to go down the route of making a sim rig - if you can stretch to it, do it.
Out of the box, Assetto doesn't have a huge selection of cars, but it is the better simulation. PCARS2 is nearly as good now I think, not perfect but almost...
Yeah, the site’s only recently opened, they’re all taken from all over the place.
There’s quite a few! I’ve just got a load of circuits and a few drift courses like Mt. Akina etc, but there’s all sorts on racedepartment.
Does it look as good as a proper RX7? Not really.
Does it look bad? No. If it was launched as a car of its own then I guarantee a lot more would like it. I like it, but not in that colour.
Can’t machine the bell as the allen bolts holding the rotor on are using that bit of metal. Rotors are fucked now anyway.
Haven’t got any other pics of the clearance, about 1mm when stationary though.
Ground the pad backings back to the friction material and it was still knocking. It’s just way too close. I’d knock up a longer carrier to move the caliper further out, but there’s no more room behind the wheel.
But then I could argue that actually it’s as per the design of the system, now that I have evidence for that.
I’m not too worried now I know that’s how it’s supposed to be anyway. Wish I could run those 2 piece rotors though :(
