Excellent. So all I have to do is replace the Inlet and plenum (with ph2 bits) and we're off? The loom is still in the engine bay, as the ph1 is going in the ph2, so shouldn't need to take the ph1 loom from the scrappers too? Cheers

Quick question. Ph2 172 has a cracked Block. Have sourced a Ph1 172 engine. I know the ph1 has a cable throttle, but I could use the FBW components from the Ph2 to convert it? Is it easy enough? Off to look at it today, so any help ASAP would be grand.

Or even better, does a phase 1, 172 engine a straight install? I think the codes are slightly different? But shouldn't be an issue? Found one pretty close, hoping they are identical?

Cam shaft end caps are all you'll use lad. They cost as much as that kit from Reno anyway, so bargain. Just had mine done, whilst we were away. took the old boy 3 days. And the belts he took off were as good as the new ones that went on. Reno, french shyte.

I drove the 172 today for the first time a month or so. I noticed that when progressively braking, I can feel feedback through the pedal (and even hear) a clunking grating noise. - but it isn't all the time. On heavy braking after giving it some, they seem fine, still responsive. I doubt they...

its either one or the other. but it does work with the head unit.

Incorrect. The tunepoint will work with any new clio oem head unit with the 6 CD changer port.
