i wont be getting it from Dixons... i'll just price match them when I go into work tomorrow. All the write ups on the new samsung range are excellent, and they sure do look very clear and sharp. 32" is far too big for my bedroom, 26" is perfect :)

yup. looks like new ipods need USB 2.0 to work. it may just be taking longer to recognise it with USB1... have you had it plugged in for a while?

have you got Windows XP? if so, service pack 2 installed? reason I ask is that USB2 support is only on service pack 2, doesnt come with windows XP as standard. I can send you a SP2 disc if needed

so you installed that itunes from the link, set it up, then plugged in the ipod and got that message? could be down to only having USB1, not sure if they're backwards compatible.

lol, ive just gone to set up my ipod on my laptop which its never been installed on before... and the same message came up. i just left it plugged in and it sorted itself out.

lol Justin, read the manual! visit here: www.apple.com/ipod/start download that, install it, THEN plug in the ipod... Windows doesnt know what to do with it.
