the locking fuel filler caps are interchangable... at a local CS meet i went along a row of our cars and managed to unlock everyone's petrol caps with my key.

well thats a rough price for a 172 system... i should imagine the 182 system to be a little more.

Charlie's work is great. I dont think it should be that much for a 182 system... 172 cat backs are only £320. Can't beat an exhaust custom made and fitted on your own car.

hours labour probably. Easy to fit yourself tbh, just need to get access to under the car. Yup airflow is equal. Its easy to see the same amount of smoke coming from both pipes on these cold winter mornings. If I was actually buying an exhaust, my choice would be either this, a BTB system...

ive got a curbed 182 alloy I used as a spare. Paid £40 for it with a tyre.

ive had 4 french cars, all have only had wear & tear items replaced but only because i replaced them earlier than was needed.

...which don't fit without the 172 Ph1 front bumper.

no idea where the filter is on a Mk1, but on the F4R engines its much easier to remove the fuel rail guard first to give you more room. Maybe you can do something similar on the F7P?

the tool i have is like a big pair of pliers, but oil filter shaped at the end with teeth to grip it.

Failing that, genuine tomtom subscription is circa £20.

get an oil filter removal tool. Makes it lots easier as they're long and designed to reach into the hard places. or get a big screwdriver and a hammer, pierce the filter and remove.
