All steps in the right direction though bud. If you're making proactive steps then you're on the way. I've sent a couple of applications out recently, for things I never thought I would get in a million years, and have been offered an interview for one, so you never know what's around the...
Cool little car this. The Ph2 rear end on a Ph1 does upset me slightly, but it does show how good a Ph2 would look in that colour!
Nice build, some nice bits gone into it. I could spend soooo much money with PMS. I just avoid their website 😂
Yeah absolutely. Had a go in an Escort rally car with a sequential box a couple of years ago, just a totally different experience to my car. A "proper" car just feels entirely different, just so focused.
Mountune were the same. Have demos of their cars but can't drive them.
Saying that, I went to a Ford dealer quite recently and they wouldn't let me test drive a Focus ST!
Turbo will likely give you more power if that's what you're bothered about. It would probably be more useable on the road too, as you should have a nice versatile torque spread if it's done properly.
I can't say a turbo Clio appeals to me though. Not really what they're about for me. If I...
I think you might find that with a lot of the options. Off-the-shelf tuning kits aren't easy to get here because there isn't the volume.
To be fair, his 200SX was pretty brutal even with the standard V8 in it. It had a decent chunk of mid-range grunt so could break traction with ease in pretty...
I used to work with a guy who was into his drifting. He put a Lexus LS400 engine into his 200SX. It mated up to the Nissan gearbox with a bit of fettling. The BMW 4.4 V8 is also popular.
My sister used to have a Civic like that. Key in, ignition on, push start button. Utterly pointless! At least an Integra is a good car otherwise though. Her Civic was dull as dishwater.
Great result, nice to see a little Clio doing well. Door isn't too bad. At least it's a simple panel swap, rather than a rear quarter or something, could have been much worse!
It all depends how mad you want to go really:
My helmet was c.£350
An entry level HANS device is c.£250
I got my suit off a friend for £100 (someone had bought it, but only realised it didn't fit after it was too late to exchange it)
MSA starter pack is £99
Licence test is £180
I think you have...
I went from a Clio to a Megane 265, albeit via a Golf. Still have the Clio though. It's definitely a nice upgrade. They do have similar traits in some ways, but the meg does feel more grown up. In your budget, I think an R26 is the way to go. As someone above said, you're at the lower end of the...
