You are very welcome to fit the windows to my car! Excellent job, love the attention to detail. It's nice seeing someone going to the trouble of fitting them really neatly, especially the rear side windows. I hate to see them just held in place with rivets and the like.
Love this thread, so much thought put into it. Where did you buy the 182 by the way?
Also, where are you moving to in Canada? The temptation is strong for me to move out there, as have spent a fair bit of time over there in the last year or so.
Yeah definitely keep up with the thread. It's nice to see people putting effort into their threads, rather than the social media style of pics with no substance. The 'how' and 'why' is every bit as interesting as the pictures.
Since when did the Focus not have a good chassis? Have I misread something? The Focus of that era was considered to be fantastic and certainly the best of the cars on that platform. I'm sure the MPS can be made very good with some thought.
I think white vinyl on the car would look awful. If it was a race car maybe, but I wouldn't do it on a road car. I think white body work details on a road car instantly make it look like it's worth about 50p
The colour is a tough call. Definitely not gold. White could look brilliant or awful. I'm unsure but it will be interesting to see. Silver or anthracite are safe but both will look good.
Great report. Sounds like a tough event, but at least you got to the end. As you say, club rallies are a very different ballgame now. Sequential boxes and powerful engines everywhere. The class system here is a bit silly though. I think it's about time every class was split in half. One half for...
Engine bay looks great. Should go nicely with that engine in it too. The problem is, the more threads like this I read, the more I want to do it to mine 😂
