Not really a fair comparison as the PS3 was released over a year after the 360 was so it had the benefit of further developed and refined technology.

Ha ha ha...we do! I've almost given up entirely over there...they seem determined to put the car down as they all see the RS as the pinnacle of road cars...so the ST couldn't possibly measure up...it's a warm hatch, only an ST180 etc.. I'd say 5% at the most actually understand and appreciate...

Oooh, not good. I'm surprised Mountune supply brakes that necessitate a wheel change to be able to properly drive the car...I thought they'd work some magic and make them fit under standard wheels...the 200 had no issue running Brembos under its 17s.

This is exactly what I'm going to do. 100mph to zero...and film my speedometer. Then I await someone in an ST, on standard Bridgestones, but with Mountune big-brakes, to do the same. I'm more than prepared to eat humble pie should it be necessary!

This is where my thoughts are. Chip... you've missed the point that if both setups can overwhelm the tyre's available grip at will at any speed, what good does the extra braking force available from a 4-pot setup do? As for why I asked this question...I believe the answer is both will stop in...

I'll say again...the two cars are identical. They can both trigger the ABS at will so BOTH setups have enough braking force readily available to overwhelm the grip available from tyres. Which stops faster?

OK, ignore the feel, ignore how well they last, ignore the detail. The only difference is in the number of pistons and the swept area. Both setups have the ability to trigger the ABS at will, and both cars are running the same tyres. Which stops quicker?

Smashed screen update... I decided against a DIY repair, and even back-street repairers wanted £150-£180 to do it. So I'm claiming on insurance...hopefully get it sorted ASAP as it's a right pain not being able to call anyone on it!

They're easily on a par with the Clio 200 of old as far as driving goes, and have far more pace to go with it - they'd set your pants on fire as much as any of the current/recent crop. What else would you expect from a 200bhp 1,100 kg hot-hatch?
