They've full on bodged up your exhaust haven't they. Jesus christ. Did they use the scaffolding stolen from their workplace for that 'decat'?
On looking at your system they've cut off the 'olive' joint, but I can't work out whether they've welded it to the rest of the exhaust system? Can you...
What's a good place to buy good quality v-bands and flexis from? They'd be for a 2.5" system.
Would rather pay a little extra for good quality stuff parts that will last!
Thanks in advance!
They red ones renault do are pretty decent actually, Not much scope for improvement there.
The rear backbox ones are quite expensive to buy new so might be worth looking at making those. Don't often need replacing mind.
Yeah it's very rigid. For people worrying about them coming out they could easily just be cable tied.
Might make sense to oversize them in length like powerflex do, and add a little lip on the back that presses through and out on the other side then it's effectively locked in place.
Was just a thought buddy! Often people like them really tucked up against the surrounds, then others want them to be a bit further away. Leaves you more scope to sell to more of the market! Simple design change.
Are these PLA 3D Printed? (Look too rubbery to be PLA)
You should do designs with the centre hole in different places (Vertically) to get them tucked right up. That's the main problem with the polybush ones!
Does anyone know of any decent Bodyshops in this area? Preferably Huddersfield way.
I'm only after having a trophy spoiler painted, but do you think they'll want my car at the same time to sort fitment etc? Don't really want to leave my car at a place for ages as it's my daily.
The passenger side impact ones like to break sometimes if they've had moisture on them. Will check for best way to disconnect that plug for you later bud.
On my old 1.2 a snap-on diagnostic was good enough to show it needed a side impact sensor
That transformation from the first pic to now is crazy! Expect nothing else from you Gus.
Would never be able to tell it was a category car. Who cares either for that price!
Is it bad that I kind of like the steering wheel... Does the white bit pop off? Would look good a gloss black or...
Just been out and the gear changes are transformed. Wonder if that wear in the bush was causing me some problems?
I also now have zero knocks. Just a s**t ton of vibration from the evol. Presume it'll settle?
I like the red!
Removed the dogbone polybushes and they're the old design that powerflex changed from.
I levered them with pliers slightly and you can see they are cracking around the edge. Don't know what sort of impact this would have been having?
Yeah I'm running those. That's not what was loose!
Haha, no don't worry Carl! Just strange when we checked for play in the balljoints it wasn't visible the actual bolts underneath were loose.
Have to take it for a drive today to see if it's cured the knock. Hope so then it's not my top...
Where abouts? I'm running washers either side of the wishbone bushes
What's the torque on the lower balljoint bolts? I've just done them to about 80, need loctite or don't they often come loose? Like i say, I'm sure I torqued them!
Weather was great in Huddersfield yesterday so got myself outside to make the most of it!
Removed the old polybushed dogbone and replaced it with my evol mount. I used some washers on the front part above and below the evol mount just to spread the load out across the bush.
Nipped up the bolts...
