do it mate... im sure if you buy the car off an enthusiast, you won't experience the problems ive had as they would have driven the car how it was intended and it should have loosened up nicely.
I would say its worth it... i think I was just expecting too much out of the 182 from the start. Now that mine's 'fixed' i would happlily advise you to consider upgrading. My 182 is now faster than my old car, but more importantly it feels more composed whereas the 172 always felt like it had...
thats what mine needed i reckon... being taught how to be driven properly! It was owned by a lady before me, so christ knows how it was driven back then.
Problem solved now though... so i can start enjoying it now! :approve:
if you go with the right frame of mind, you'll be fine.
If you head out there hoping to set lap records, then you WILL end up crashing eventually. I was there to have fun, and enjoy the whole atmosphere and experience! Dont get me wrong, i still lapped it fast (eh Day? ;)) but my main aim was...
yep, vinyl covers.
it really is amazing how different the car feels now, its like a completely different machine. Was suprised how well it kept up with the other clios on the route through Belgium... all the way up to the limiter in 5th :)
I wanted to cover my fog lights so that the risk of them smashing at the Nurburgring was reduced... and this is what I got.
They're made from hard wearing vinly, which simply stick over the fog lights to protect them. I personally think they look much better too, almost as if there's no fog...
I was on track when it happened too... lol
This was when there were 4 cars in the barriers, and the biker down at Adenau... carniage on track and im suprised they didnt close it. Was my last lap of the weekend.
Here's a story/review type thing for anyone who's interested...
Its been 6 months since I traded my mint ph 172 in for the 182 with cup packs... and up until recently I have regretted signing the 172 over to the dealer. The 182 felt slow in comparison, only having 22k under its cambelt. I...
happy days!!
im still smiling at the thought of my laps... what an excellent trip with some great company too! :approve:
loved the trip for several reasons...
1. I learnt that my car IS in fact fast, and that it was just my head telling me it was slow.
2. I learnt to love the 182, which is...
i did 7 laps in total... and yes it was very slippery but still managed 3 or 4 completely dry laps which were great! :approve:
Both myself and Ady had the ring graphics in the rear windows... so it was Ady's trophy you mentioned with the graphics.
im sure he took it out on track, although i didnt spot him out there... and i was on track a fair bit over the weekend.
looked great with the white speedlines on! :approve:
