Thanks well now i have put the rear door cards back in and the side trim etc, i just wanted to remove the rear seats and seat belts really so it would pass MOT, im going to create a flat floor thats my next move. What it looks like now:
Well i stripped it today want some advice on how to tidy it up really, think i might just carpet the whole lot not sure what to, especially where the door cards used to be.
There isnt anything wrong with K-tec i read a thread the other day, a guy on here had bought a 172 mild steel exhaust or something and apparently it was the best fitting and best quailty exhuast his mechanic had ever fitted. The Yozzasport is very good but its a bit loud, i would be tempted to...
Basically was helping my mate out cleaning his computer wiping it all and starting it afresh all worked fine gave it back to him. Then he rings me up and says i did an antivirus scan then restarted and now it wont boot. The laptop isnt detecting the harddrive. Its like its not attached to the...
Yer i wasnt going to leave it loose but i want it to be perfect, maybe i could use some soft insulation to support the wood closer to the front, any other ideas?
Okay im expecting the comments 'use wood' but seriously im stripping the car tomorow, and i would like a flat floor all the way to the front seats. But surely it would wobble and flex because there is nothing to hold it behind the front seats.
Maybe something like this??
Well i took mine out the original ones and then i drove it, didnt really hear much road noise the car felt quicker and more responsive though. Then i put some from an 06 plater clio in and they were much heavier. Do you need rear seats to pass mot?
You can get springs on here for around £40 which will lower the car 40mm, makes a big difference in the corners. Otherwise go for a full coilover set, some brakes, strip the car.
Yer it is selling it for £50 i think but my phase 1 isnt in the best shape everytime i do something to it i find something else wrong etc and i have seen some nice mk1s that are tempting me. Then at the same i time i could sell it for around 1700ish and then get a phase 2 for that money. :S :S
Okay heres what i have been thinking, i currently have a mk2 ph1 clio. My mate has a mk1 clio up the road but needs alot of work for £50. So should i sell mine and get the mk1 and do it up or save up and do some more work to my car?? any suggestions.
Rang up a scrappy saw an engine on ebay and it had no gearbox no loom nothing just the engine and that was £299 including delievery which i thought was a bit steep.
Hmm well i can do most of the work myself as im a mechanic and that will keep costs down, this could be a project for college lol. Anyways i dont think i would turbo it straight away think ill still to N/A and spend maybe 1k-1500?
Re: 1*2 Turbo??
Hmm well if it fits then maybe this could be the route i go down i rekon about 1k?? About the gearbox would you recomend uprating it and to what?
Re: 1*2 Turbo??
Hmm maybe a transplant would be the best option then i always wanted a turbo haha, what about turbo'in a valver?? and would it fit in a mk 2 ph1?
Re: 1*2 Turbo??
This is true but hey i want to be different and some times its not about saving money. Would love to have a 1.2 turbo. Im hoping for around 150bhp if i decide to do this.
Re: 1*2 Turbo??
Okay well i know the car is quite heavy but i would be making it into a road rocket, would be stripping it completly so 120bhp would be quite nice, but i rekon with a few more upgrades to it i could see more out of it then 120bhp, was thinking of upping the boost pressure?? or...
