Re: My A1 (to be) Thread
I see you've even fitted a sail to make it go faster. ;)
Any reason you didn't choose the petrol? TBH I'm yet to go out in the a1 with this engine, so I'm obviously not convinced. No need to take it all personally though sweetie, I could understand if I were...
Re: My A1 (to be) Thread
172 a go? Maybe running on three cylinders!!!
Without being mean, the 140 in that a3 I had was hands down one of the worst engines I've ever had the displeasure of using.
You're saying pulls hard through the revs? Mine picked up at 2.2k and died off by 4.4 or...
Re: yokohama parada??? any gd
Which is why I really like the Parada's. I really felt like I could literally push the tyre as far as it would go, keep on pushing enjoying the fact it was letting go, then come off a bit and pull things back under control. People are too quick to define a good...
Re: Enhancement Detail - Porsche 911 - 996 Carrera 4S in Lapis Blue finished in Glasu
Awesome! Buy it!
Great 50/50's there, I use pictures like that to explain what the hell the difference is to the mrs. She hasn't got a clue what I'm doing with polish etc until I show her the difference it...
Re: yokohama parada??? any gd
Personally I really liked running these.
Great dry grip for the price, felt like they got really hot and sticky and even at the limits of grip didn't just snap. You can really "play" with a car with these on (imo of course). In the wet they're not great, but...
Re: My A1 (to be) Thread
That's what I had in that a3, so boring and slow.
The rev range is utterly ridiculous too, whoever thought that 2.2k - 4.2k is an acceptable power band needs shooting.
Nice little car this, you've also gone the right direct with it from the off which makes a change!
Don't go fitting angel eyes to it and ruining all your hard work! Find a local member with a machine polisher and follow the guide on here to bring your headlights back to good as new!
Another great read. If you were more local to me, I'd love to let you loose on a car of mine!
I had no idea these came with hardtops etc, pretty cool. Lovely finish to the colour now too.
Guy drove off. Parked next to a TTRS in the services, went in, came out, TTRS gone, scratch on car.
Tosser.
It's only very minor, but it's on the drivers side so I see it all the time. Will be being fixed.
Light graze to rear wing on the other side. It was TT RS! I picked the fucker because I thought they'd be careful!!
I need to talk to that bodyshop of yours, see what it can be sorted for if a PC doesn't make it disappear enough.
I heard a story once, where someone was really stuck with regards to taxing a vehicle... I heard they asked for a digital copy of my current insurance policy and then change the registration before printing it out..
Just a story mind.
No you cannot drive it as the car has to be insured for what you're talking about to be in force.
You can try your current insurer and check to see if they'll add it one for two weeks, this often works out cheaper.
Alternatively, temp cover websites, just google temporary insurance and the...
Personally:
Phone him up, explain that his cover is only third party and doesn't cover the damage to your car.
Ask nicely if he is willing to pay for the damage he's done.
Make it clear you'll get a few quotes and go with the best one as you're not trying to con him out of anything...
Well my bosses aren't here, so I figured tonight would become now.
Popped down to the grasshopper meet Saturday (I figured I'd better as I organised it ;) )
A few took some photos:
Good variety of cars there, I gave Tyler the keys and I jumped in the VX to compare, the verdict is that...
It is, I peeled it off yesterday and found two things...
1) The underneath one has cracks all around the edges
2) It actually looks better with the black badge due to the VERY monochrome interior.
To us "BMW people" it may look a bit china-spec, but it actually suits it IMO.
Cheers mate...
