Bleeding is a mission generally. Gets a bit messy. Or alternatively get a one man bleeding kit from halfords. You basically stick it on the open nipple and press until pedal goes firm and then close nipple. (it has a small ball bearing in it to stop air being sucked back in). Repeat with the...
f**k me, you lot love blowing things out of proportion. Its all realtive. For what the car is and for the price it is, it is very capable, lots of fun and pretty quick, every thing taken into account.
Obviously its not going to be better than a 100K+ Ferrari, but for a cheap to run, useable...
LOL^^
I believe the traditional British sports car was generally front engined, 2 seater and roof less. Power didnt really make too much difference, aka, Triumph Spitfire, TR6, Austin Healey etc
Hate to say this bro, but it looks best in the first photo. I dont understand why people spend so much money to make their car look a million times worse. You could easily bodge it up with 1k.
Why not just do subtle mods like a RS kit and then spray your fancy paint all over it and put some...
DC5 all the way. The only thing that stopped me getting it was 3k insurance. Gonna stick with my 182 for another 4 years and then go mental on the next car.
^^^ I would, its not just 20 hp, its the increased drivability, mid range etc. Cheaper than buying a new car, especially if you want to keep it for a few years before moving up to something truley spectacular.
BBPT used to be excellent when working on my old mans R5GTT back in the day, and very good VFM. I agree with the comment on old skool tuning companys struggling to move with the times and research the new skool engines.
In comparision, R5 GTTs are very crude technology wise compared to the...
probably best to strike a balance between the two. Scoobys and the like need intercoolers because the air that goes through it is roasting hot from being heated by the turbocharger.
Mabye ice cold air isnt good for n/a, just cool air which can then vaporise easier than ice cold.
I mite go for some 8000k, that colour temperature looks class. Still get people flashing their hazards, or trying to tell you that you have your high beam on with standards.
Should be fun with new ones.
I cant imagine any copper pulling you up for bulbs. I used to run PIAA 100/110 in my...
^^^ so you dont always wear it then ;-)
Buckets are safer in crashes any way. They tested the new RS4 and that hasnt got side airbags. Proved to be safer in side impacts than normal seats.
I wouldnt touch K series engine with a bargepole. I remember sitting in my mates elise, only for smoke to start pouring out from the side vents and engine cover. Was a full Lotus history, 30k miles car as well.
Looks crispy. Compare how sedate the mk1 172 looked compared to the last of the line trophy. If thats anything to go by, the 197 is gonna look sick by in a couple of years time!
