    172 driving position

Only problem with removing the spacers is the seats won't slide anymore, I had to cut the carpet away from under the runners in order to move the seats back and forth, even then one of the cables under the inside runner makes it tricky.

    279bhp from a non-turbo NA F4R? How?

Fred's doesn't come on much anymore mate.

    Metro content, old skool.

I used to do 80mph on the motorway in mine.

    Metro content, old skool.

Shame they're made of tin foil, I shunted a Volvo at the lights in mine at no more than 5mph, he had one small scratch on his bumper which he went ballistic about, I had two smashed headlights and and bent bonnet, i'd hate to think what would happen if you had a real accident in one, they'd...

    The Ford Appreciation Thread

I know I think there's something wrong with me, I seem to prefer cars that look like they've survived an apocalypse rather than mint shiny examples.

    Metro content, old skool.

My first car was a Metro, cost £400 quid, 3rd party insurance on it was £450. lol

    Roadkill

BAM!! Decent episode, was a bit gutted they stole the General Mayhem's engine, but with Dodge sending them a new supercharged Hemi as a replacement it means they'll be another episode for the coolest car they've ever done.

    Woof Woof! He's back!

Not the easiest thing to prove, I put a bumper on ebay for a grand, give you a thousand pounds of my hard earned drug money to buy it, bingo money's clean, who's to say it wasn't a legitimate transaction?

    Woof Woof! He's back!

Blatantly a front for money laundering.

Lack of power when moving off

Gunked up throttle body maybe, give it a bit of WD40 and a wipe.

    MOT Fail. Sad Times! Help?!

His writing isn't the easiest to read, from what I can make out you failed on : Airbag light on (fiddle with the connectors under the seats, it will more than likely get rid of it) NSF CV Boot split (that'll need replacing) OSF CV Boot insecure (jubilee clip should sort that) NSF Ball Joint...

    197 6 speed box into 172

I live my life a quarter mile at a time though because winning's winning.

    Coolant leak?

    Anytime mate.

    197 6 speed box into 172

Mpg and 172 don't really belong in the same sentence together, unless you're having a whose car drinks the most fuel in the shortest distance competition.

    Coolant leak?

The coolant bottles themselves are prone to cracking in their old age so check the fire wall insulation for dampness as it could be trickling down the material and dripping on the floor, which wouldn't be apparent with a visual check, look on the bright side at least it's not an oil leak, they...

    Coolant leak?

As long as it lifts the car up high enough to get under it without it collapsing on you it'll be fine, if you can't find the leak tomorrow morning take some spare coolant with you to top it off before you set off, then again before you head home, as long as the coolant level doesn't drop below...

    Coolant leak?

I take it you've been driving the car today, what's the level like now?

    Coolant leak?

Jack the car up and look directly above the puddle, you didn't spill any when you were filling it up did you?

    Screech on start up

It's your auxiliary belt, either your alternator bracket needs tightening, or you need the belt changing.
  23. DaveDreads

    Where has this come from???

You're doing better than me, I found an old screwdriver wedged down the side of my battery when I first got the car.

    Back in a Scoob

Same here, if only I didn't live in a ghetto i'd probably be paying £50 quid to insure the Clio, although I guess £380 fully comp with maximum protected no claims isn't too bad.

    Back in a Scoob

What kind of a r****d views a car they don't even know they can afford to insure? I've never viewed a car without having got a number of quotes before hand, that way if I like the car I can ring my insurer up while i'm stood there, pay for a years insurance by credit card and drive it home...

You can't just give us that, take some detailed photos of the engine & interior, bloody love Mustangs.

    Idle gone mad any ideas

The 3k rpm idle is what you get when air is leaking into the inlet manifold, it happened to me when I forgot to plug something back in once.

    Where has this come from???

Well there you go shows what I know. lol
