FYI anyone that wants to know, these do just pull out, they can be quite tough, but persevere.
Once you've pulled them out, make sure the metal prongs on the new ones go back in straight or they don't work.
I think, I'm not certain, that changing the bulbs over will be exactly the same as is is in the guides, you may just have a slightly different amount of bulbs/bulb layout.
I wired some into my ph1 in exactly the same way Plummer did. Worked a treat.
Why did I do it? Because the mk2 ph1 front end looks a shed load better with them in, and it was annoying to have them there not working.
How funny that of all the people I have posted hello to, I posted hello to you and you asked that....

I've literally just done the conversion and written it. It's an ok process, with various sticking points, all of which are...
I found that the halfords silver was ok against a standard silver, I managed to fix some kerbing a friend caused on a set of alloys I had on my non sport with it.
It was almost invisible.
Simonez do a sivler, available in most motor factors, seemed too be a bit better.
If you get it off, there's no way you won't get it back on.
Search the guides section and you'll find more about the electric windows, it's quite easy to remove the whole mech though.
I'm assuming you've got electric windows?
It's the electric window motor. All of this can be changed over easily enough though, as the mech will come out of yours as a whole piece.
There's a guide on here telling you how to remove the electric window mech, the door card, the locks... that's...
Right, the door itself should be relatively easy... I haven't done one myself, but it's only going to be bolted and pinned in place. I'm sure plenty on here will have taken one right off before.
The complicated bits are actually covered in the guides.
Does the door come with a window regulator...
Good work mate, it seems you forgot to refit the little wedges on both sides then? LOL!
I'm not sure I'd be trusting you to do a ph2 dash conversion now :p
BTW, if you want a full parts list, let me know and I'll write one/pm you with pics.
You're more than welcome to come with me mate. I'll be camping on the night of the event. Should be a good crack, but I hear you're more of a hotel type-a guy?
P.s your font sucks
Hello mate, my mum text me earlier to let me know they arrived today, I haven't checked them out yet, but thanks A LOT in advance :)
Cheers mate, I'd never want to write one that long again! LOL
