ive lowered mine ...erm.. well alot (max my suspension kit will do)
cheapass alloys off ebay, refurbed (O.Z superleggeras)
magnex full cat-back system...
didnt increase my insurance by much, only about 90/year i think...
clio 1.2 16v too...
the monkey at quick fit was saying you can get a piece that sits over the end of the smaller pipe, then theh big pipe slides over this and the clamp is tightened... anyone seen anything like this??? cant seem to find anything of the sort anywhere...
lol god i cant be seen in there :(
im running a custom magnex middle section with no silencer that is 2" and the bore of this other magnex backbox (off a 172) is 2.5", grrr
ok so i let the monkeys at kwik fit loose on my car so sort the joint between the cat and the middle section, and to swap the back-boxes...
they fixed the cat joint then told me the bore of the new backbox dosent match the middle section bore so they cant fit it? they said i need reducers...
hey,
ok... i picked up a magnex back box from a member on here (twin 3.5") to replace my current gash magnex oval one...
before i got this new twin backbox i got a different magnex middle section to replace my other one that had a silencer in it, so now i have one without a silencer...
just...
i used a tv card that had coax/component in (whatever its called, the yellow jack lead thing), hacked it to pick up the signal the video recorder signal... then recorded with a software pvr...
if you havent got any sort of video input on the pc, google is your friend ;)
edit: maybe of some...
i have got to get 4 new tyres tommorow, running 3 illegal tyres at the mo :boring:
either:
Toyo Proxes T1-R
[or]
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3
im going to be using black circles, just wondering which are better out of the above two as there is not much difference in price...
or if you have any...
i have a brand new 1" 3/4 here hopefully its the right size
oh and another thing lol... say i tighten it round, and theres the excess thread pointing down from it being tightened, safe to shorten it with a hacksaw...? because i can see it catching on the floor on my car....?
had the car tracked at tweeks the other day... he showed me the underneath the car just got a quick question...
i had the center section changed to a magnex one without a center silencer... so basically a pipe... but the joint between the pipe and the cat is f**ked, its lose and wobbles all...
ha ha...
ive just been out and looked side on down the car... never noticed it before and fook me! more camber than ive seen in my life lol
the guy at tweeks said it was running alot of camber on the fronts but its really no prob...?
only just seen your post lol!
yeah he did lol theres f**kloads of camber on it now lol
i took it to tweeks on tuesday and had it all laser tracked... he said he had never seen a car with tracking further out lol!
getting new tyres tommorow... will see what happens...
ive seen some posts around about people having the same problem as me with the standard renault exhaust mount collapsing and making the exhaust sag if you have a magnex...
mines sagged to fook:
cant even get the 2 quid coin under it!
anyway ive got a new rubber mount for £1.50 from...
ok so i had quite a few people in the car, and it went real low.. now i want it this low all the time...
the fronts arent a problem as i can wind the coils down abit more, its the back im wondering about because theyre set to max already... are custom springs the only way to do it?
ummm at the mo mines:
alpine 9855r
alpine kca-420i
ipod mini 4gb
tomtom go 700
(yes before anyone says its dangerous i dont care, i dont really use it for route planning just speed cameras ;) )
ipod mini in glovebox, kca-420i behind the dash, control the ipod through the headunit...
