I think things have got a little confused in this thread. What most people are trying to say is that there is no need to be scared of 60k plus miles cars as long as they have got good history.
I've not been on line much but didn't you sell the 197 to down size and save money? I'm guessing if you buy a sub 60k trophy you're not going to have that much pocket money left over to play with?
I had a look at some blue ones and they looked good but were a little too scooby doo innit bruv for my tastes. I liked the look of the black ones but too much cleaning for me. I like the fact tat the silver is a little bit understated.
I filled it up outside Norwich and have done 225 miles so far with a quarter left. That's majority motorway miles of course with the occasional boot.
Im really liking it, I like that it's a big car that's fast. I also like that it's a bit 'look at me' while not been super chav. It's thirsty but...
4-5k? I wish!
I think there are earlier cars out there 52/03 with mileage on for around that money but not wide track ones with low miles (that I could see anyway)!
Thanks guys.
No plans at the moment. Filter, exhaust, fuel pump and remap seem to be the way people tend to go but quite happy with the performance at the moment.
Drove to Norwich today to pick up this up today. The seller was a nice dude who'd fallen on tough times hence the sale.
Anyway, it's a 2005 subaru impreza sti with 36k on, full subaru service history, few pro drive bits (but not full pack) and in really nice nick.
Drove faultlessly on the way...
