you usually have to buy the whole gearstick as the knobs are stuck on with some incredibly sticky stuff which causes most people who change them to saw them off. ps i was joking about the sticker... but it is actually a genuine part for a 172

Mk1 172 knob? Dont forget to buy the little sticker for your windscreen that shows you the gearing numbers.... or you wont know what gear you're in ;) part number: 60 00 073 663 ADHESIVE ALP 0.25 seriously, its an important sticker! ;)

judging by the location only, i would say its the brake fluid resevior.

its fine... they all do it :) especially as yours is only on 21k, your cambelt should be fine

its one of the cam belt pulleys. The bearings are made of butter. mine did it, got the cambelt/aux belt replaced (was intending on it anyway @ 48k) and the whining went away. 2k on and the whining is back. From all the other RenaultSports ive heard, they all do it so i wouldnt worry :)

Wicked idea! its a Social Event, so i think car's shouldnt be included... events like this usually include copious amounts of alcohol anyway so nobody can drive home etc... I say find a place in the middle for everyone and we can all book hotels etc :D
