It was blanchards in selby. To be fair, the guy has been spot on with me and didn't charge me for the the diagnostic etc so don't want to **** him off. He's also sorted out a few probs with the Audi and has always been fair.
Ahhhhhhhh, starting to get frustrating now. The garage have just called and are blaming the fault on the bmc air filter saying that some pipe is not connected properly and this is causing a bad mixture. The only pipe that's missing (I think) is the oil breather and I can't believe that this...
Mark actually lives on my estate! I tried calling him a few times and then recently sent him a message through 106 moaners - he did reply and said they weren't operating at the moment but should be back up and running in July.
Swapped te exhaust over for the pug sport today and the problem still remains.
The car drove fine for 5 minutes then started holding back at the top end. Then wouldn't rev past 5k and eventually cut out. I left it for 30 seconds and it came back to life. I love old cars.
I drove onto your street last night mate at about 3am.
Saw one cup, a vts, your vts and your 182 - it was a reach French hot hatch hot spot.
The vts on axle stands through the night is really bringing the street down though!
Just gave this a wash and it's amazing what you miss when you look at a car. The front bumper has what looks like a rattle can respray - to be fair, it's not that bad a job but just feels like sandpaper to touch!
My local garage is pretty fair so I'm hoping he can sort it for me. I put plenty of work his way so he likes to keep me sweet!
But thanks for the offer, it's appreciated.
The car just kept losing power and cutting out. I'd leave it for thirty seconds and off it would go for another 50 miles before it would do it again. To me, it felt like a sensor problem of something - the previous owner had to swap the exhaust for the mot and just slammed any old 106 exhaust on...
The original 8v box which was refuted in 2010. I have an invoice for the conversion in 2010 where everything was changed at a cost of just under £1600!
Cheers guys. Not really got any major plans.
Ive got a pug sport that will be going on and Im gonna probably raise it a little at the back as it appears to be running some serious reverse rake!
