Nope, dont get it its nothing like the Clio and youll loose more money than you can think.
Best way to convinve yourself is to take one down a back road then take the 182 then think the Megan costs 50% more to run in tyres and fuel and isnt as good.
Best speak to Omar though he swopped to a...
The sills on the jacking poins are strong enough as long as you spread the weight and dont lift the car on a tiny surface area.
Dont life the car on its subframe use the jaching points/ axle stand points mole recomended which are under the car about 1 ft in from the door sills you canot miss them.
Check for leaking oil and ensure its got oil in it since they can sometimes bburn it.
Watch out for uneven tire wear when it might have been in an accident.
Give it some stick on the test drive is the best idea check it doesnt come out of gear.
Check the services have been done.
It all depends on the power your going to run.
Nick hill has a high pressure 1.8 16V.
The higher the psi (assuming no change in temps) the higher the power 14.7 psi will give twice the stock power. 29.4 would give 3 times stock power. However you need to lower the compression ratio to enable...
Any decient garage should be able to do it.
Just dont bother with Renault they messed mine up time after time. The back road garage redid it for £30.
Demon Tweeks are very good though.
Just leave it till the 18k and get Renault to check I used to kill my dci all the time (65) and the first set lasted till 19k when they were complety worn (they were 80% down at 17k when it was serviced).
The second set lasted 16k before they were comply bare (Renault werent happy about...
Least they will insure you. I take it your over 25 or somehting as thy wont let me lower my car at the moment even.
Loonys right though about insurance companies, they love people who want to stick roll cages in there cars. Even some of the highly modified cars insurers wont cover for them.
J3ned is the person to speak to but cost wise this just isnt IMO effective. Best IMO to sell your car and buy a 225. If you want the sleeper look take the 225 body kitt off and sell it to someone who wants a 225 lok alike.
Your looking at a fair price for the whole fornt of the Megan plus...
The box is good for as much abuse you give it.
Ktecs has survived with 270hp and some 172 turbod cars have 300hp without problems.
People have worn boxes and broke bits with stock engined though through total abuse.
Roamer smashed his with 212hp but thats probably due to the 1/4 miling...
I wouldnt bother with Harnesses you cannot use them for day to day very easily a normal seat belt is much easier and probbley safer at slow speeds as you can move round it it to see whats behind you etc.
Yep its in bits again. Needs a new clutch cable plus most of the under bonnet bits going back in. Also need another oil change and gearbox oil change and a new exhaust.
O how I love older cars.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put in.
I just hope none of the other CLiosport iisues at the moment caused you to make this decision. I think anyone who went to any event you organised
You need a resistance between 1.8 and 6.2 Ohms.
PM me your email address and Ill send you the files about airbags etc.
You dont need an airbag to pass an MOT.
Bunsthorpe was quite good.
Soory the address should be http://www.easytrack.co.ukwww.easytrack.co.uk not .com
If your going to sign up make sure you go to http://www.easytrack.co.uk/cliosportwww.easytrack.co.uk/cliosport for the 5% dicsount.
Yep Id go as low as you can I could just fit my phone under my dci and if I could have gone lower I would have and just taken the splitter off. The Williams will go lower some time I just need to chop the arches up as on track days I crack the arches under hard cornering.
Infact Id take the...
Arr right thats about the only times its ever been on the road.
I thought your car was a little lower than stock but if there coilovers you need to wind them down a bit more no need to be that high. I live oposite that shop and I had my coilovers set on minimum for that drive with no problem...
Best idea is to go to somewhere like Demon Tweeks and sit in all there ones.
Just make sure you get one with loads of padding otherwise youll be sitting on a load of jumpers etc like me.
Im not sure Im notice if the buckets werent there as there like sitting on the floor anyway.
Anyway dont listen to Martin he claims to have stripped that car but then left tones of soil all over it and left all the spare wiring still in the car. Pahh who leaves the wiring for the fog lights in...
Arr so your the owner of that Cup Ive seen it driving round loads.
Its parked up at the moment bumperless since I broke the mounts again.
How the heck did you spot the brakes though thats dedication its only been parked for about 2 minutes on the road in its life.
Superchip just do off the shelf remaps so there not idea for the car.
Personally Id go with a SMT6/7 from GDI or a remap from Hillpower (I think they can now remap 172/182s)
