This is an interesting read. Fingers crossed all goes to plan without any major hiccups. My cars with Fred for a while too. I do miss it. But it'll be worth the wait.

It can be sleeved on a cat pipe too. The tapered section is chopped a little with a pipe welded. That fits over the centre section then a clamp on it. Sleeve joint. It's the best way. Fred done mine. His welding skills are second to none too

it's fine. honest. more than anything i'm just lloking forward to actually camping with everyone and having a good laugh as i didnt get chance last year. it'll be a good day/night regardless of what happens.

thats good of you to sort out campsite for us. i shall not be smoking any weed don't worry. i'm not a regular smoker of the stuff anyway. plus like you say, we do have a reputation to uphold after all :)
