Don't know what the top mount assembly is like on the mk1's, but you'll need a deep 17mm socket or a 17mm spanner to get the compression nut off if it's like a mk2.

Cheap coilovers. Doesnt ruin your standard shocks for when you want to sell, you can choose your ride height, and IME, the ride is better in general.

Re: Eds ph1 172 - The soon to be controversial project! Nice job so far. IMO, you're a bit nuts losing the f1's as they owed you nothing, but if it's all in aid of some slip streams, then fair play. Glad the r888's are doing you well.
