Mk1s are faster on paper, however in real life they are all very similar. Its all about the driver anyway. I prefer the seats in the Mk1, along with the RS dials and the air intakes cut into the front bumper. Also the fact that they use a cable throttle. I was in the same position as...

If youre looking at 172s... on paper the Mk1 s are faster than the Mk2s. Similar to the cups in fact. but in reality they all give the same driving experience.

at the moment the better tyres are on the back... and the worn ones are on the front. for those that saw my front tyres at FCS after the tack.... they are still the same tyres! heh. :oops:

My front tyres are getting quite low... i already have new ones in the shed to put on after the Brands trackday. my question is... is it best to have more tread at the front, or rear? i could put the rears with more tread on the front for the track day? /Dan.
