I know I can't buy it from Renault but all the local motor factors stock it, so I guess its worth a try no?
Matt, any idea on my 12mm or 10mm question?
Your explanation isn't brilliant, but I'd check for breaks in the wire that joins the fogs up. Sounds like the earth on that side, you can easily cut the wire up, (i.e close to the fog, and close the connector) then splice some new wire inbetween, or just buy a new joining loom.
Infact I think...
Cheers Fred, I have drill, and if I keep them in good nick (i.e if not siezed) I'll use standard bolts.
One last thing, I assume its the 12mm I want not the 10mm? As there was two options, but I'm quite sure I read somewhere it was 12mm.
Its not an open forum, if you don't sign in, you can't see s**t. Also, seriously? You think all the car theives in the world are just sitting there on their laptop waiting for the day some one tells them how to open a clio's door without breaking the window?
I guess you're the sort of person...
I've never really got to look at your car before, I really like it!
The Turini's suit it down to the ground, I'd love a set of anthracite ones on mine.
Do you get any knocking at all mate? If not then there's probably no issue, but if there is quite a bit of play I'd suggest getting it looked at.
But again, I'm no mechanic.
I'm only 2" over, I'm sure I'd survive :o, the German's can't design car's for midgets surely? ;)
If you wouldn't mind PM me with how much ££ it set you back :)
It looks amazing Alan, really amazing.
I'd love to come out for a spin in it at some point, the z4's have always grabbed me and I'd like to see what being in one is like.
You've done a bang on job on that engine too, does it ever get driven? ;)
Right, this is a very simple "guide" but personally I've found you can often suprise yourself if you have a go...
Get your touch up pen, and get some 1000 grit wet and dry, then, personally, i'd get the tiny'est paint brush on earth. (the touch up pen tips are s**t IME)
Wet sand the offending...
Ball joint (I believe, I'm no mechanic and tmrw will be my first time messing with it) is part of the steering/lower arm assembly.
The way to tell if its gone, is to jack the wheel up, grab the wheel at "quater to three", and try to rock it back and forth, if there is play, its possibly gone...
Just the little clock? This moves about with the dash top, only a few screws and then you can adjust it easily enough.
I'd be more worries as to why its like that, i.e has there been an electrical fault for the dash to have come off in the past?
Fred in my local factors and the local "sc motors" which is my local chain, they both had the available. I'm picking them up tmrw infact, why wouldn you recommend against them and what would you modify???
You will be able to use the iPad sim, just phone up and say "I have the micro sim with this phone number, xxxx, which is currently un registered, I'd like this sim card to have my phone number, which is xxxx.
Then use the adapter up until you get the new phone, that way you can change over asap...
