not much chance IMO, perhaps if you had a trade account with them. Eurocarparts charge a handling charge to the public if they try and refund things, granted this isn't a refund it's a replacement.

yeah give it hell when it's warm, hopefully its not too late. They loosen up well with age, mines enjoyed it's life for 34k miles from new and goes well.
