as said takes a bit of getting used to where the power is, dont floor it at 3k when rolling, drop a gear.
Not a lot in it between a DC2 and these. Mine made 179brake which is 182ps but rr's are nonsense anyway.
02 plate mk2 172 heading towards Ibrox over the motorway, I was heading the opposite direction both got stuck at lights.
Saw you looking over.
This was on Sunday bout 12.30 or so.
very cool, hats off to you for taking the time and investing the money.
Someone was doing a white 182 at one point weren't they?
This is the only car so far on my list to see at FCS
aftermarket exhaust also helps free up some low end torque I find allowing me to use 2nd where I would previously have to use 1st (i.e. crawling traffic!)
5k kick rules, the whole thing equates to good fuel economy at low revs and good fun at high revs!
Can't fault my brakes, even managed to lock up briefly from 90mph lol doh cars not good under braking but the brakes are good they stop you very effectively. The 182 can out stop some supercars...
mines 3 years old, its starting to cost a little bit due to mileage. But i justify keeping it in that its had no major problems, its been mine since new. And if I swap for an older car it will more regularly cost me to keep it running well as things like bushes etc will need replacing.
go for...
not really anything major wrong with it, if you were having problems with electrics or things which you cant quite put your finger on fair enough...
all wear and tear items to be honest!
I don't hate my car, I hate when things happen at the same time e.g. tax, new tyres, mot, 36k service and...
Matt Black had the 1.8T and when tuned significantly it wasnt the best chassis for it due I think to driveshaft lengths being uneven and basically twisting the car. But thats when pushing 400brake with loads of torque etc.
a 2.0 16v clio engine will be a much more straight forward conversion...
The cars not as quick as you imagined: maybe just not used to the 5k kick and waiting for 7k to change gear (if you want to go quickly that is)?
When I first got mine a mk2 golf gti owned me cause I wasn't used to where the power band was etc.
ITG gets my vote
don't replace with a standard renault one, they rust through every time at that sort of mileage, they hold water and the back boxes rot.
Cheaper and more sensible to get a stainless stell one, circa £300
you can buy a warranty worth feck all from a lot of places yes, but why bother? cheaper to put the money aside each month to cover any repairs when they happen
