Oh thanks mate, its good to hear someone likes my way of thinking lol.
Your Cup must be pretty light as it is. My 182 is around 850kg with a 40kg cage atm. I plan to get it to 800kg by march/april. 250bhp per ton :D
Right so yesterday I sprayed the Block and gearbox, today i tryed finishing off spraying the rest.
So i jacked the engine up a bit and removed the engine mount and bits ready for painting
Allready sprayed the ITB mani
Degreased the Head and cam cover and blocked off the holes and...
A nice update.
With cutting the second skin out of the boot, best thing to do it sit in the boot with a marker pen and close the boot door, Then draw round the rubber seal, then you can cut all the bits out and the boot will still be water tight and wont leak.
With cutting the second skin...
Yeah its a Polo rad, as its longer it needs another bracket making for the other side, and i am going to use some little thin bracket to attach it to the front of the car.
Who's ITB's clio did you buy?
It looked a bit messy before but looks great now. Love the stance and the wheels
The clio was...interesting, not the worst but not really to my tastes. How much did you plow into the clio?
F*CKING RAIN,
Keeps looking nice outside then as soon as i get stuf ready it starts to rain :(
Anyway, painting is now finished, Just need to put everything back on/together :)
Yeah i did want to get the engine out but i have no where to store the engine, the garages are full of cars. But i've painted it pretty much all over so it looks good from all view points.
I just need to keep telling myself i'm just smartening it up, not entering it into a concores competition.
Right, just got bent over by photobucket :(
Anyway at the start of the day this was the state of the engine
Removed this bracket so i could get to the PAS pipe which was bolted to the gearbox
Took it off and decided to cut a little bit off
Before
Bit of anglegrinding later...
Re: The Black clio Project, From Day 1.
I actully like the look of it. shame you never put those bbs wheels on. should be quick when you drop in the new engine :)
DONT DO ANY MORE GREEN.
Looks great as it does, there comes a point where too much colour make the car look s*it. Looks cool atm so leave the green to a miniumum
Thanks for the info mate, I think i'll go for 30mm each side at the front. My wheels are et37 and i have the 182 cup packed hubs so i'll be even wider then you are i think :)
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
I'm offended that i was not mentioned lol
To be fair he's only just really started to make it into a track car, it'll be cracking when its finished :)
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
I like the colour of the Skyline the most.
Poly window are sooooooo expensive arnt they! Like 400-500 quid for a set of 5 with the decent bits on like the balck boarded and the thremo forming thing.
OH, do you mean the fan? not the rad, I hope the rad doesnt fall off when i'm driving lol.
From reading your race car thread i decided not to buy the Fan fitting kit and do the same as you with bolting it on to the rad or somthing similar. When rebuilding the car i'm trying to do it right...
Yeah didnt really need to but wanted to have Braded lines running on the inside of the car to make it look neat + i like waisting money lol
Had lots of other goodies come through the post yesterday too so update sooooooooon!
Just thought i'd post up this information as i've had a few Pm's asking where i got the rad & fan from
This is where I bought the Radiator from
http://www.adrad.co.uk/redesign/prices.php?search=se310
And I typed Slim Radiators into ebay and bought one from there
Think it was this one...
