Buy an aftermarket ECU like a OMEX or Motec or somthing, then get it mapped using that and the map will stay and not have any problems.

This would test that the TDC sensor is working?

I've just bought a new Omex/ford crank sensor. We will see if that fixes the problem :), (fingers crossed)

Oh crank sensor, the TDC sensor? I gave that a clean as soon as i realised the car wasnt starting. Can they just go like that. i thought they went over time?

How do i check for a spark? pull a spark plug out and turn the engine over and see if it sparks? I'm so f**ked off with it i cant really think :(

My car just wont start. looks like its not getting fuel, been dead for about 3 weeks now :( I'm gona check all the earths again tomorrow, make sure they are all sanded and decent connections.

If your going to buy a new set of wheels then imo buy a set of OZ Ultralegges in 15". They are suppose to be 4.9kg a wheel so your saving quite a few kg over your standard 182 wheels. If you just want some 15" wheels for track then get the ones which are the cheepest and get a set of R888's or...

Right, i got the ECU to connect to the laptop. But when i connected it, it then just kept saying questioning ECU or somthing like that! This isnt as easy as i thought lol

BUMP I'm just bringing this thread up again as i'm trying to do the same but with no luck. I have the cable connected to my omex 600 ecu, using MAP3000 OMEX software, connected to my USB port. When i try pressing on "ECU connect" is keeps saying "failure connecting to ECU" I've tryed...

Yeah i'd say its deffo a case of zee old lift-off-oversteer to me. Thought it could have somthing to do with the Biker that overtook him at first but the biker was much further infront when the back end sliped away

A friend of mine lost his car and got a big bill from the Nurburgring last year. He came with us to the ring this year but as a passenger. He said he wouldnt do it in his new car unless it was fully insured. He lost around £3500 i think
