well ok my 8 is the 4 that were on the car + 4 replacements, on 4 seperate occassions, in fact its been 5 replacements cause the first time I made them change both sides.

£81 a piece on non cup 182's but refuse to pay you have a 3 year warranty and its a known problem. Mines 2 years old and on 24k miles and i had my last one replaced 3 weeks ago, no charge. Its always rear ones though...

6th gear is usually to give u a closer ratio, so ur in the power band when u make a change. is the 197 capable of 60mph in 2nd?

deer always made me drive slow on certain stretches where I knew they were likely to be, gutted for you. but good thing it didnt come through the widscreen, they've been known to kick people to death as they panic after being hit!!! hope it gets sorted ok

bargain 172 cup in the for sale section, £6250!!! and john's mk 1 172 at just over £5k is a minter

there's not many brand new ones left, so if you dont mind buying second hand do yourself a favour and pay under £10k on the cars for sale section on here. dealers have the advantage of comeback, warranty etc...

it aint miniscule, it is very noticeablely slower when its on IMO

well i think some are driven off the engine and some have seperate compressors? if off the engine it'll use more, maybe im talking shight

not as fast as the 2.0 turbo GSI's

lol that sounds about right to be fair, they usually dont know how to drive their big RWD cars. And they take offence when u beat them, then they sail past u as u grin in ur victory over the car that cost maybe 3 times as much as urs muahahhaha
