Cars are bought to be driven. I bought my 182 on 54,000 15 months ago and its now just turning to 70,000. Apart from the driveshaft and recent slight missfire she hasnt missed a beat :)
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
Typical, i just phoned the nearest Renault stealership and they want £220 for the new shaft and apprently they dont do an exchange service on my shaft :( fu*kers
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
hmmmm, how do you get trade? I am an Engineering student, maybe i could get trade too, or do you have some sort of flashy card?
The H&R's have worked very well on track. I'm sure Fred said he can drive a clio faster when its on H&R than on AST's :)
I've only driven a clio on apex springs then H&R coilovers so for me the coilovers made a huge difference to the roll, got less inside wheel spin out of the corners too.
I...
I have H&R coilovers, they are very comfortable on the road and have done 4 trackdays with them. IMO they are a little bit soft but for your application i would recmoend them.
I do agree with you that just doing trackdays will only give you so much enjoyment and racing is only really the next thing to go to.
I see myself doing the same in the future.
Great build your doing, looks like so much fun and i'd love to have all that room :)
I look forward to seeing it...
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
UPDATE:
Was driving back to uni from home on Sunday and the car all of a sudden started to shake itself to peices when i was accelerating.
I just about made it home by tickeling the throttle. It sound like the driveshaft has finally given up after loosing most of...
Yeah i saw the cup racer ones and liked the idea.
Xeones are heavy too so what i will be doing is gutting the inside of some standard lights and having cold air feeds in each one to direct cold air to each side of the ITB's
It wont be that much of a faf and you allways get loads of time...
I've just bought some old front lights so i can cut some holes in for CAF's for my ITB's.
Could someone photoshop my front lights black, and then in orange.
Thanks
Chris
Oooooo some very nice cars there, Its good to see there are people out there who buy supercars and actually use them. Instead of just keeping them in garages for nobody to see :)
Is that a scratch or a hair above the fuel filler cap?
Couzens did you sort this out.
My 182 just started shaking violently on the motorway today when under acceleration. So by the sounds of it, it should be my second hand driveshaft!
Oh one more thing the CL's will munch through discs quicker than normal pads you will need about 3 sets of discs to 1 set of pads (thats what i hear i am yet to replace my Brembo Max discs)
Carbone Lorraine Pads are mint, I run them and i have never had fade on any of my trackdays.
As said above they are cheaper than Pagid and they will last for EVER :)
