Well it was in when the sump plug fell out just over a month ago, was topped up fully with new oil and its down by about 1/4-1/3. I'll have a more accurate check 2moro though. Im now totally paranoid when driving my car now, looking out the back window for more dreaded blue smoke! Kinda ruined...
Oh and they asked me why I had gone underneath my own car to undo the sump plug and therefore starve it of oil when driving it..... :@ Wouldnt admit responsibility for it even though they were the last ppl to replace the sump plug. Dealers make me mad sometimes...
I just went out there to take a couple ben hope your impressed! Anyway this incident has really soured my experience with my once beloved car. Im now thinking about selling.. :(
Here are two pics of the engine and two of my car with the best and worst bits! :(
I need your advice guys on my 172 cup. I dont know if you saw my post a while back when my sump plug just "fell out" of my engine on its own accord but my car is now developing some more engine related problems.
Ive noticed it is still using a fair bit of oil and its covered just over 31k...
I would be very careful with this. I had exactly the same problem with my 172 cup and it was because the mechanics at my dealership hadnt done the sump plug up properly at the bottom of the engine at the last service. You wouldnt see any oil leaking out until the plug falls out completely as...
Ooh that sounds good. Ive been using autoglym wheel wax and havent been impressed to be honest. Brake dust doesnt get etched as easily but it doesnt seem to repell it. Might use this stuff. Its more of an issue with silver wheels imo too.
My bro uses pledge on his new bike. Says it works well on the blue wheels.
I wouldnt use furniture polish on my car personally. Thats why they spend millions developing car polish ;)
Got both fronts replaced yesterday as they were both on the wear indicators in the middle. Got them from Kwik fit in Bishopbriggs. Had them fighting in price against national tyres as they both had price matching policies. This resulted in the price for two conti 195/45's being reduced from £180...
I used recoat in whiteinch and they seemed to be decent. Got one wheel done for about £20 which is good! Might have to check what their colour match is like.
Cheers

The contis have wear indicators in the middle and I went to 3 different tyre places that all said the same. Im probably wanting to up the size to 205's anyway for more grip, but would that cause problems with rubbing if I lowered the car 40mm?? And would I get raped by the insurance man with...
Was driving home last night and managed to get a nail in my tyre. Its too near the wear indicators to repair according to the tyre place so I'll need new tyres. I was thinking about putting the 182 michellins on in the 205 size. Would that invalidate the insurance as the original fitment on the...
The rear disks are poor quality imo. Ive already had one set rust all the way through and snap. And the rust patch round the edge is normal. Its just because the pads dont cover the whole area of the disk.
