my bother has a 2.2cdti, actually got quite a bit of torque to them. Think it would horse my 182 at top end - but not bothered, as those speeds are the ones that gaurentee to lose your licence. Still prefer the 7th gen civics- type r only applies though ;)
bodyshop would prob be around £150 - around my area anyway. If you could source a nearby bonnet this would prob be cheaper. Just a pain looking for one in right colour.
Ive got the 'thumb' indents on mine, and would sooner find a new panel, since its such a big flat panel I think theyre a bit...
These cars are generally getting on 9years old now, very lucky if air con is still working correctly (some well informed previous owners running the system regularly). I have a mechanic mate who regasses mine when I service/mot, but must have a leak as it generally only lasts around 3-4months...
... if you have the ears of a hawk, die hard ice enthusiasts will insist on this. But majority of muggles will not notice any interference - unless its a particularly hefty power cable your running. It is the correct way to do things, but wouldn't say essential.
I fit these, but in Edinburgh so guess thays no good to you ;). In a clio you do not require any additional wiring for the kit, as it has ISO connectors. In terms of installation its pretty straight forward. You just have to unplug the wires from radio (male ISO's) then pug these into the female...
update:
had it on ramps, and leaking passenger side rear shock, so at least the problem has been identified. Will have to look at prices to work out what to do. Luckily I have mechanic friends who can get me trade price and free fitting. Will Cup shocks fit straight onto a non-cup? - is the...
Know some mechanics so ill get this on the ramp on sat, anything I should advise them to look for? or will it be pretty self explanitory if there is a fault with shocks?
The cars done nearly 80k so not fussed if I need to replace, if needed should I stick with renualt parts, or are there any...
I have rainsport2's on the front, but will have to check what I have on the rear. I swapped front to rear when I put on rainsports at the end of last year, as the front still had a good level of tread. iirc they were a premium brand - will double check and update when I get home from work. This...
Thule will do a kit also, but imo the renault ones will look better as the bars will join into the footpack, rather than extending out over. Im sure when I looked before they were more or less the same price brand new, around £130 iirc, but that was around a year ago
1. Noticed that when braking on uneven road, I often get a sort of crunching from the brakes. presuming this will just be abs? but seems really sensitive. Had front discs/ pads changed a couple of months back, would anything other than abs cause this?
2. The back end of car is more twitchy than...
Think it was, if not was around that, was new calipers, new discs/pads, handbrake cable - maybe i had something else done at same time, or i could just be way off - was over a year ago
Edit: was new calipers, around £140 a piece on website, so wlda bn arnd £280 for calipers, £100 discs n pads...
same happened to mine, calipers were binding and cracked discs, got them stripped/ cleaned out with new discs and pads, but slight binding again ended up scortching discs. At then end of the day got new calipers/discs/pads/cables iirc £500 all in fitted, and not had a problem since (touch wood)...
same part no for adapter but one you posted has image of quadlock, which is on later models. Would check if this was a 'generic' pic before buying as 182's are ISO. That alpine does look good though, nice choice :)
i tried radweld and didnt do a thing, i heard that kseal is a much better product tho if you can get your hands on it. Thank said from what I understand most people would advise against as it can cause more problems than its worth, but heyho I tried it so can't judge - anything to keep costs...
Rentech in Edinburgh done mine, think it was around £700 iirc, well worth it for the piece of mind that its specialists working on the car. Theyve also done my waterpump and powersteering pump. Never had any issues with their work and would rather pay a going rate than cut corners with garages...
had similar to mines, problem is that all the plastics under the car can mean theres not a clean drip onto ground, best up on a ramp and take of covers and see if you can see anything. mines turned out to be waterpump, bit £££ - but my own fault for not getting it done with dephaser - lesson learned
dont know if there is a version that transmits track/station info to the top display - never cam across one it my time, but could be wrong. generally stalk adapters just read renault and clock/temp, without its just clock/temp. There are ways to customise what the display reads, there are...
if you get a connects2 adapter its plug and play, if you go for autoleads its top dash off to back of clock, best best with connects2, i got a similar one off mtaudio - works a treat
