Ive had a close call without abs on a soaking off-ramp with diesel spilt as well. The only way i avoided the cars that were already smashed up on the verge was by pumping the brake pedal to be able to steer. Missed them by inches!
New change of underwear needed afterwards as id only had the...
I was driving to see the other half 2nite when i suddenly lost the back end of the car on a slippy roundabout. Managed to apply opposite lock and avoided hitting anything but i had my heart in my mouth for a moment.
I took the roundabout at a low speed, about 20-25 mph but the roads are crap...
Oh and i got my 172 cup for 10,700 pre reg with 20 miles on the clock at the start of last year! Im glad i did as they are quite rare. I see loads of 182s on the road but not alot of 172 cups which i like!

Yeah my tyres were £65 each without fitting! But the guy at the dealership said he could get them and fit them for £69 !!
Bunch of time wasters these parts guys!

Oh rite. I think i will stick with the contis then. A slight difference in grip isnt worth an extra £80!! I could buy two contis for 1 michelin at that price! Shocking!!

Went to the renault dealership this morning after being quoted over the phone a price for 195/45s Continentals for my 172 cup for £69 each (fitted). Was then told by the parts guy that they dont seem to stock that tyre now and he didnt know how much he could get them in for.
So i asked about...
Cheers guys thats shocking that i need a whole new wheel just for a split hand grip, airbag and all! You would think that they would have interchangeable rubber grips to save cash!
If it splits any more, warranty work will be required but the superglue is good!
Fraser
The right hand rubber grip has split on my steering wheel. Is there a way of replacing it or do i need a brand new wheel? I hope not!!
Ive superglued it just now which seems to have done the trick!
cheers

I just filled my cup up with fuel this morning and managed to get 21.3 mpg when stuck in a major traffic jam, although I have seen 43 mpg on a long run! Whats everyone elses best and worst figures?
Well i suppose everyone has their opinions! Dont get me wrong im not saying the 182 cup wheels look bad i just think the turinis look more stylish, and more performance-car orientated. I like the twin pipes on the 182 if only they were bigger! ;) Reading too many max power mags!

Ive seen loads of 182 cups about with the anthracyte wheels and I dont think they have the visual impact of the 172 cups turinis. Am I the only one that thinks this? They look like silver wheels covered in brakedust and dont look as sporty either. Whats everyones opinions?

Ive seen a 04 Megane 225 for £14,995 with delivery miles from parks motor group. Im sure you could haggle this down to £13k at least! It was in 2days daily record motor section and comes with part leather, and metallic paint. http://www.parks.uk.comwww.parks.uk.com Hope this helps ya!

I only get that figure when stuck in traffic which wrecks the mpg value. I find that on long drives not thrashing my car i can get between 32-34mpg, using 5th gear on country roads etc. In town ive seen as low as 19mpg but thats just after ive filled the car up as the mpg figure moves very...
I had a quick drag against a tt225 in my cup a while back and i beat it by half a car length before i backed off. (Up to 60mph) It would only pull ahead 100mph plus. And this guy was really trying! HAHAHAHHAHA His face was a picture!
I got the proper 5w 40 elf fully synthetic oil for my 172 cup from my dealer as it was at the halfway point after 6000 miles. It was only around £6 for 1litre too which i thought was quite reasonable.
I was washing my car the other night and saw a nail in my new clio 172 cups offside rear tyre. The tyre was completely unworn being at the rear so i was hoping to get it repaired instead of forking out for a new one. The nail was tiny and about an inch from the edge of the tire with no visible...
I booked my cup in 2day for its squeeking front suspension to get looked at. The guy said its not dangerous and renualt know about it, something to do with the degree settings on the suspension but he said he wasnt positive about it. Anyway said it would take about half a day to fix so it can be...
Yup i kinda like it but not sure about that power in a fwd car. Rather have a rwd or 4wd with that power so it doesnt corrupt the handling. My cup is a handful on full gas and in the rain and it only has 172 bhp, i wouldnt like to see what it would be like with over 200!

Was just checking throught the evo site and i managed to find an old road test between the clio cup, focus rs, cooper s and subaru impreza wrx. And the results of it made me smile!
