Did you regularly dip it in warm water? I'm no expert but I have a bowl of warm water with some qd sparayed in it.
How old is the clay? How do you store it?
Could've always bought some tardis or itr to help with the tar removing as clay is not the best thing for removing larger tar spots.
Clay is more for removing contaminants rater than larger stuck on dirt.
Did you have the clay nice and warm as I personally find it works better warm.
The amount of times I've replaced mine I should hav just bought those ^^

I'm no detailing pro but I'm sure it depends exactly what you want done, If it's just paint correction then the prices estimated sound reasonable but if you have scratches which will need lightly sanding and heavy correction then I guess you'd be looking at a lot more, Do you want the engine bay...
While my car was up on a ramp yesterday I had a look around and noticed my passenger front shock was looking rather greasy compared to the drives side.
I have GAZ coilovers and they covered a lot of miles so is it likey that they have pissed all their oil out and are subsequently knackered?
