as above not needed unless you were making an air tight seal around the filler hole when filling it.
later cars had long breathers, some of the 1.2 16v ones came up and clipped onto the battery tray at same height as the top of the battery.
its jumped up in price, tbh mine is a few years old and I was going to order a new one as a spare as ive used it hundreds of times and its been spot on but at that price ill just hold off lol
Ive got the shinemate which was the cheapest cleanyourcar had when my PC went up in smoke. I think it was sub £100, big benefit for it was the lack of weight, its perfect for doing vans and bigger motors as its so light!
got another couple of hours on the van today. Managed to swap over the 182 brake master cylinder, ABS System and the brake lines and calipers then the lower arms, hubs and discs.
hoping tomorrow to get the 182 ARB swapped over then bang the engine back in.
The plan was to rebuild it replacing...
That 182 I'm re shelling into the van is a heap but I thought at least it's low miles at 60k, until I realised it's got a 172 breather setup, damn.....
Of the 3x 182s I've owned, 2x had 172 engines, one was a heap and one was a minter you would never have expected.
And ironically of my 4 172s, 2x had 182 engines!!
I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard, ive never seen both side by side but id imagine the subframes are the same/similar so it would just be a case of swapping the engine, box, driveshafts, suspension, hubs, brakes/master cylinder and ABS then the rear beam over, depending on if there is a...
In that case it might have been an update list from factory sorry I thought you said it had a tuner list previous.
54plate is right around the changeover my 1.6 16v was a 54 plate facelift and had an update list cabasse
they are spot on for VW stuff especially APR as they are putting quality maps on.
I was looking to have my new DCi Clio remapped, the wifes car was done by Superchips via Bluefin but they don't support the Euro6 ECU in the facelift cars yet, I done loads of research on where to get it done and...
quality, love it!
appologies I dont know a great deal about them is this one of the RWD ones or were they FWD by this point?
go well for a bit barge? easily tuneable?
seems EFI is about the closest highest regarded place.
Ive used EcoTune who advertise that they should be able to do a job like that but tbh id rather upload a TomTom map of Belgium to my ECU than one of their maps after my experience getting a STANDARD car mapped.
Too much for something I don't watch! think im £90 or there abouts for a TiVo V6, 200Mb Broadband and a phoneline with no phone socket in the house lol
going to phone them tomorrow and go Internet only
If course I've heard of it, and driven one but very rarely do you hear of it mentioned much, I remember on here there was about 100 of the previous ones, every forum you went to people were getting them, but these days everyone just seems to speak about m140, A45, focus, Mégane, golf, civic etc...
couldn't have put it better myself, if I had the choice of my 220 trophy vs my 200 cup, 182 trophy, ph1 172 etc etc id take the 220 trophy every day doesn't matter if it was a B road blast, track day, commute to work, motorway cruise, doesn't mean the previous cars were bad, they were fanstastic...
Everyone complained about it because they don't like change, it was too much change at once, turbo over NA, 5 door over 3 door, auto over manual
I get reminded on Facebook memories every year around about the launch date of how outraged I was and how I would never swap my 200 for a 5 door auto...
I believe you should have had extra caster lower arms from the factory, weren't they were introduced for the 172 cup and everything from 172 cup on words had them?
