My Clio has cost me ££££ more than I ever thought it would...where do you stop.
I wish I'd bought a 172 cup to start with. The only bits of mine that aren't cup are the carpet, dash, shell, windows....I started from a ph1 though. Although this is because it started as a road car and as I found...
Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
What's the spec now? I can see the DTH Jenveys have gone and you now have SF Jenveys. Any internal changes?
They're French; it's to be expected. I work with a lot of French guys, some over here and some in France and the ones working here are getting away from the guys in France because they're all the same. It's not just Renault its the majority of the French population. I'm not xenophobic, it's just...
The fact is (for all those that clearly don't know a great deal about Ford gearboxes) that the iB5 wasn't the best (just like the JC5). However the only issues with them were on heavily abused high mileage ones with diff bearings and synchros (usually 2nd/3rd). Cars that would miraculously blow...

BIGASH If I wait I'll be without the car for another couple of weeks at least. My hope is they're on the way and arrive today but he's in China now so no way of finding out. They've had various delays so far, the car is up on stands, I haven't been able to use it and I missed a track day on...
Although I use it on track, I'd say I do 10% track driving and 90% road. At the moment my car is 100kg lighter than standard, when I'm done with weight loss it'll be around 940-950kg with me in it and a full tank of fuel.
400lb springs are enough on the front for me, especially with the weight...
Have you tried Konis? I've had both new cup shocks and Konis in conjunction with a complete suspension and steering component overhaul. The Konis offer the better ride and in more ways than just compliance.
