New phones supposed to be announced on the 13th so should see media invites for the event soon, pre orders on that Friday.
If the 12 pro comes in blue as rumoured that might be hard to resist...
Posted some benchmarks times to get the ball rolling.
See what improvements I can make through the week.

Be good to get some comparison.
Ive knocked up a Google spreadsheet for anyone to drop their times in.
Anyone can edit so add any columns necessary.
I'll try and post some times tonight
CS Assetto Corsa Lap Times
Looks a solid spec, from a performance side it looks similar to mine (I have a 2070 super) so you should enjoy good performance across all games.
don’t think I have any of those specific components so can’t comment on quality but they seem decent manufacturers.
I wonder if there is any record of any bank ever actually getting a fraud decision right, I suspect not.
I feel for ya, know people that had this with the Xbox pre orders and it's pure bastardness.
Serves you right for being able to afford a 3090 ;)
Cant speak for the leather watch strap, but seeing this thread reminds me how good a product the Apple Watch is in these times - my series 4 is 2 years old and the battery is still superb, feel no pressure to upgrade, it just works, compared to Many other products (including iphones)
I think NordVPN have demonstrated you shouldn’t be trusting them, especially when the other big vendors haven’t had issues protecting user data.

Yeah +1 for ExpressVPN, decent discount if you buy 6 or 12 months at a time.
It's really fast and lets you speed test various connections and gives you endpoints in most regions.
Has apps/configs for most devices and platforms.
Good call, Samsung QLED and LG OLED are both amazing sets and I don't think you'll be disappointed in either.
QLED if you wanter brighter colours, OLED if you want darker blacks and better viewing angles.
But don't get an OLED if you have kids who will leave CBBC paused for hours on end...
Yep.
Since getting a PC i've been amazed by the free/cheap games available.
Ubisoft gave Watch Dogs 2 away for free a few weeks ago, I just got Fifa 20 for £4, and some of the other Steam sales are insane. Love it.
I did a couple of auto solos with the Farnborough motor club, absolute hoot and a really cheap half day of fun. Unfortunately my 200 was in a class with things much faster a lighter.
Reckon an easy way for Sony to trump MS is to beat them on SSD size, 1TB is not enough these days, especially when you consider games like Warzone.
If sony come in with 2TB as standard that would be strong.
This tbh.
been holding off getting a UW because I still play a few things on the One but would love the new one to support it otherwise can’t see myself getting one and being stuck with 16:9.
Some of the LG OLEDs can be had for around 1800 when they’re nearly a year old so potentially you could get one closer to your budget when they’ve more than a year old.
I've always had good experience with Overclockers and think they have a decent selection of UW monitors, although what with this whole pandemic thing I think that stock might be your biggest issue.
I did nearly say have you considered ultrawide, especially if you're sacking off console gaming, there's no reason not to as games look far better.
I still have a 6yr old Samsung 4k monitor because I cannot decide on an ultrawide.
You can seemingly spend anything from £600 to £1200 on a decent...
Looks a very good spec, pretty similar to mine except I went Intel with 16GB and a mix of SSD and HDD.
The 2070 super is a great card and has coped with every reasonable demand I have made of it, seems to cheerfully handle all games at 1440p, ultra settings at around 60fps.
Interesting post.
As per my post in the detailing thread, I’ve been struggling wading through the various detailing companies websites in London and seeing a massive gulf in prices and struggling to know what I need but also what the service is like.
what’s the difference between a bloke who...
