sounds like it could be front trailing arm bushes anybody else had this problem ? ?:S

have done the strut top washer mod so it aint that its a different noise .but it is passanger side so I think it could be the arm . anyone else changed the arm and cured it ? ? ?:S

Have checked driveshafts ball joints gaitors and changed all engine mount so not any of those . anyone else had this problem ? ? how many miles has yours done jay and how long has it been making the noise ??. mine is just like you describe :S :S

Got a sort of creaking noise coming from front passanger side of car (172 52 reg) when pulling away in first.also does it slightly when turning steering with car stationary. changed all engine mounts so it aint that :S Anybody else got any idea what it might b ????

Had this problem on my 172 for ages it will be the exhaust mounting nearest the gearstick not tight !. It is when the exhaust bounces on this when you go along pulls on bracket and makes a squeak.Try it it cured mine it was driving me nuts too :) Hope this helps.

Anyone else swopped cable and noticed a lighter clutch ?

Cheers edde will try cable . Had car from new so it aint had a hard life but does mostly town, stop start driving. This is when it becomes a pain mostly. thanks.

Prob gonna have a go and try and swap it, prob wish I hadn't when I start thou :D . 39k car has done so wouldn't think its a knackered clutch.

Read a few posts of heavy clutch problems on 172/182 's was wondering if changing the cable cures the problem, just wanted to know if anyone has done this and if it cures the problem. Is this a job you can do your self or is it one for the experts !? Anyone got any idea how much it shouuld cost...

I've got hill power elbow on std airox with panel filter, never had any problems with fit or movement.

Not as shocked as me mate :eek: :eek: :eek: !!! unless me cam timing has altered a bit on me cambelt swap !! 14.8 atw up on last time and no octane booster ! ( you know who you are;) ) glad you saw graphs as no one will believe this.:D

Mine made 171.6 @ flywheel 151.3atw 153.5Ib/ft panel filter hill power induction elbow and NO mods since last time (only more miles !) well pleased :D Felt quicker goin home too ,must be the weight saving due to them dropping me engine cover bolt down the rollers!!
