Add the cost of machining the crownwheel to the Mfactory one as well, not sure how much that is. Then £900 for the Quaife isn't so bad for an all in price.
My Quaife was £910 with delivery, that included Quaife fitting the crown wheel. Rebuild was £350 + vat but I believe Agency is much cheaper than that.
If you could get a Mfactory one over on the cheap you may as well do that.
Re: My PH1 172
Stunning car! Look forward to seeing how your plans progress!
I had an email from AT Power on Friday I think. They're doing a new Clubman range at a reduced price with and without ECU so I've enquired about them to see how they compare with the Ktec stuff. The plug and play of...
Love my Quaife. Fit and forget, does the job well. Had one in my last car too which is why I went for one in the Clio, don't regret it one bit.
Throttle in the bends pulls it in tighter, gets the power down earlier out of the bends. If you know where to go then you can get them for £900.
The...
Its not the Polo one, agreed that is too small. That's the one most people use 528x299mm with a core thickness of 22mm
The one I'm getting is 525x322 with a 34mm thickness, which isn't far off the standard size of 476x399 with 34mm thickness.
Thanks guys! I've found a brand new suitable VW rad which has a core size of 525x322x34 for £24 posted. So £46 in total with a 12" fan as well is quite a bargain!
Fixed bucket with normal seatbelt is very dangerous. It gives no restraint over your hips so you submarine and in an accident you'd never walk again if you were lucky enough to live.
Re: PS4 pre-order
I'll be getting mine when the price drops after Christmas. I can wait.
I got my PSX 2 years after launch and my PS2 and PS3 on launch but I'll wait for prices to come down before getting my PS4 I think.
Very easy. I assume you bought them with new ball joints already fitted from Renault?
Wheel off, undo ball joint bolt, lever it out. Undo two bolts to subframe. Refitting is the reverse of removal.
However the extra caster will alter your toe settings so you'd want to set that afterwards.
I'm going to order a VW rad and slimline fan this weekend and I've already got a fan switch blank in case the rad doesn't come with one.
The current fan has two plus on it, one for the motor and one on the shroud. When I wire the new fan in will I just need the motor wiring and not the one...
Re: Ph1 172
It's the most likely. With me keeping it N/A the best solution for the most torque is ITBs.
I would want it to run like standard though. No cold start issues, nice idle, start first turn of the key.
